I understand that what he was saying over and over was:

Bah Bah Bah… Bah Barbara Ann.
Bah Bah Bah… Bah Barbara Ann.

TarheelBen on December 11, 2013 at 2:12 PM

Looked to me like he was telling the batter to bunt and the runner on third to go on the pitch.

I thought from the beginning this was, by far, the most dangerous trip Obama could have taken. Considering this faker, the non existent security with letting just about anybody in that stadium, and the overall corruption and violence of the place, Obama is lucky to have escaped that sh!tshow with his skin.

If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.

John the Libertarian on December 11, 2013 at 3:35 PM

He sullied an otherwise inspiring communist party rally.

Murphy9 on December 11, 2013 at 4:06 PM

Why is anybody surprised at more fraud and lies connected with this communist? What say you liberals?

ultracon on December 11, 2013 at 6:47 PM

The Washington Post, predictably, blames the guy’s inability to sign on… wait for it… racism.

I give Barack hand signals all the time.

SouthernGent on December 11, 2013 at 8:36 PM

From what I heard there are diferent sign language langusges. That’s why we call it American Sign Language here. In other countries it is something different. I was in Venice with an american woman who signed and she saw two Italian guys signing. They could understand each other but she said there were a lot of differences.

Blake on December 11, 2013 at 9:27 AM

“Sign Language” IS a language unto itself.

You don’t say, “someone’s speaking French in English,” and you don’t say, “someone’s speaking Sign Language in South African” or any other regional.

It’s a language unto itself, Sign Langauge is, like English, French, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, German, Japanese…

There are DIALECTICAL expressions that are specific to regions and populations in any/all languages but the language/s themselves remain themselves (with or without dialects). Dialects don’t alter or change a language to be “another language” that someone of the respective language can’t understand or recognize: if one is fluent in a language, one can accomodate (and does) dialectical expressions, one isn’t incapable of understanding the language any longer due to dialectical expressions.

The guy was a loonie-bin up there “playing” or pretending at “sign language” that was gibberish to anyone who does “speak” Sign Language. IT was utter gibberish, nonsense, and even the guy’s crazy repetition of hand/arm movements despite what the speaker was saying was a give-away of the man’s craziness.

Lourdes on December 11, 2013 at 10:11 PM

That’s ok. Our fake leader was faking the speech he had to read.

There are different TYPES of Sign Language http://www.alsintl.com/blog/types-of-sign-language/ but the TYPES remain as respectable, credible LANGUAGEs by anyone who is fluent in them.

One doesn’t just “sign” anything to mean anything except when someone’s nuts. Language relies on MUTUAL KNOWLEDGE — “signs” mean a fixed thing, in ohter words, just as printed, spoken, written words do within a definitional range.

Punchenko on December 11, 2013 at 7:06 PM

Hahahahaaa, nooooo; can they be any more obvious than they are already?

Lourdes on December 11, 2013 at 10:18 PM

Oh, get over yourself. I read the article. Some yell Fake!!! Others just said he wasn’t very good. Either way, it’s not the crime of the century.

Blake on December 11, 2013 at 10:10 AM

Not the crime of the century but certainly OBVIOUSLY CRAZY. The guy’s hand/arm movements were repetitive regardless of what the speaker said otherwise and in that alone, a reasonable person could discern the “signer” as being nuts.

And someone in the whole place hired that nutter to “sign language” interpret Obama’s speech. Suggests there are far more nutty people involved than any Lone Sign-Nutter.

Lourdes on December 11, 2013 at 10:22 PM

Maybe it was tough to do signing from BO’s teleprompter.

Sticky Wicket on December 11, 2013 at 11:11 PM

What?

Ben Hur on December 11, 2013 at 11:55 PM

Stop it, stop it, you racists. This spiritual fellow was signing in the After-Life Language, maybe even channeling Mandela. The reason for the repetition is that he was interpreting in that language what each speaker was really saying between the lines, Obama the perfect example: “Look at me, I’m important and historic and the very reason that mirrors were invented.”

TXUS on December 12, 2013 at 12:47 AM

Cool!

Sherman1864 on December 12, 2013 at 12:48 AM

What a farce fitting for our selfie prez Obamatic!

Interpreter at Mandela event: I was hallucinating

Obama will say the same about his SELFIE in 5… 4… 3…

petefrt on December 12, 2013 at 8:41 AM

To me this is a classic Lee Harvey Oswald tactical assignation plan. set up a mentally disturbed individual to take the fall. Then quickly eliminate him.

Not qualified for the job.
Has history of a violent nature.
Mentally unstable.
Hears angle voices in his head that tell him what to do.
Just out of a years stay in a mental hospital.
Not given a security clearance.
Hired by a company that dose not exist and that has since evaporated.

Don’t know who set it up or who the target was but the sign to abort the mission was when some one moved him about three feet to the left of Pumla Mandela.

jpcpt03 on December 12, 2013 at 9:24 AM

What a coincidence. Obummer is a fake president

NoFanofLibs on December 12, 2013 at 9:41 AM

You racists just can’t accept a black man in the precedency, and that Ebonics is the official language of his WH. This signing dude was obviously aware of that. Obama only speaks in “white dialects” when he’s trying to appear clean and articulate for gullible libs while fundraising. Otherwise, it’s all ebonics all the time. Sheesh what a bunch of racists around here.

Harbingeing on December 12, 2013 at 1:08 PM

To me it’s just funny–no need at all to get upset about it.

Contacted by telephone Thursday by AP, SA Interpreters, the organization that reportedly hired Jantjie to do the sign language interpreting at the memorial, declined to comment.

Follow the money. Who is “SA Interpreters”, and what crony relationship do they have with the South African government — the organization which put on Mandela’s state funeral?

I especially enjoyed it when he broke out in a Shuffle Off to Buffalo, followed by a Cake Walk and finishing with A Buck and Wing. Magic!
