Carville: To improve poll numbers, Obama should try smoking crack

posted at 11:33 am on November 11, 2013 by

If a Republican had made this joke, it would probably be time for another “national discussion” on race.  But it was James Carville, so we’re all good.  Some friendly advice for President Choom Gang:

Democratic strategist James Carville said Monday in light of President Barack Obama’s declining poll numbers, maybe he should take a page from an infamous Canadian mayor. “I think the best thing he can do is take a toke on the mayor of Toronto’s crack pipe, because his numbers are about 48,” Carville joked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” referring to Rob Ford, who has admitted smoking crack…

The president’s approval numbers are…significantly worse than Rob Ford’s.  The president fares especially poorly on issues ranging from immigration, to foreign policy, to the economy, to healthcare.  Speaking of which, Carville’s still trying to spin the Obamacare turd — but not without caveats:

Carville said if the administration can get the health care exchanges working at the end of November, and that’s a big if, they could get things back on track. “I don’t think that the rollout has been a disaster. It’s been another joke,” Carville said. “I’m hoping, but I have no idea how this thing is going to work on Nov. 30, but they got a lot riding on it.”

They sure do.  Reliable administration mouthpiece Greg Sargent of the Washington Post wrote last month that if the White House fails to meet its own do-over deadline, the result would be “political Armageddon” for Democrats.  In light of the mounting evidence from expert assessments, media reports, anxious Democrats and dark administration hints, should vulnerable 2014 Democrats start heading for the bunker?  That’s where Mary Landrieu must have been on Friday when Obama paid a visit to her state.

I’m sure the Senate could fix the whole thing by taking up one of the House bills repealing O’Care…

…righhhht…. too easy.

Keep Obama in Preznit

Murphy9 on November 11, 2013 at 11:52 AM

All Carville can do is spew some positive statistics he found that he thinks Obama deserves credit for? Ask young people how they feel about their future with 7.3 unemployment and tens of thousands in college loans to pay back. Ask the people who are left in Detroit what they got out of the auto bailouts or cash for clunkers program. Where is all the slush money given through TARP and the stimulus? I think Carville is the one on crack.

Worked out well for Marion Barry didn’t it? Serpent head is probably right.

Not sure he isn’t already. HE DOES show symptoms that one sees in drug users.

michaelo on November 11, 2013 at 12:48 PM

He’s probably been smoking crack his entire term. Its either that or he’s insane.

Carville will be getting a little IRS audit for Christmas this year…

guido911 on November 11, 2013 at 3:28 PM

Has Carville taken a good look at Obama lately?

thatsafactjack on November 11, 2013 at 5:05 PM

Obama should probably also prohibit the misshapen, illegitimate offspring of first cousins from news program commentary.

But then: What would James Carville do for a living?

orangemtl on November 11, 2013 at 6:22 PM

I have no doubt that he is smoking crack regularly. How else would he come up with these policies?

Jaibones on November 11, 2013 at 7:31 PM

Try? TRY?

You mean he isn’t? He can get even more detached and asinine than he currently is?

Whoa, baby!

And here I thought he needed a de-tox program…
