CBS: Yeah, ObamaCare’s woes are much worse than WH admitted

No surprise here, except for CBS’ dogged pursuit of this story. Jan Crawford reported last night that she still can’t create an account on Healthcare.gov, but it’s the changes at CMS and Jeffrey Zients’ briefing that show just how bad this has gotten:

I am amazed that CBS-a liberal bastion-is the most dogged news agency on this issue. I’m flabbergasted

The ideology sucked, the plan sucked and now the implimitation sucks. The DNC passed it through without the GOP input. They own it, let them keep lying and making more excuses, but it’s not working. Let this trainwreck happen.

No 7 million young payers, it breaks.

What in the crap is going on over at CBS? Between Sharyl Attkisson and Jan Crawford you can almost see a sliver of daylight between the White House and its propaganda machinery.

When even the Praetorian Guard (the msm) feel compelled to report the truth for a change then you know its just a matter of time before the Julius Caesar moment comes (metaphorically, not literally). I can picture Obama saying et tu CBS?

neyney on October 26, 2013 at 12:02 PM

would have been nice if CBS would have taken up the cause $6 trillion in debt ago…

hillsoftx on October 26, 2013 at 12:05 PM

Sharyl is badass.

In the meantime, the vast majority of enrollees are opting for Medicaid. Big. Fat. Fail.

What will be very interesting is to see how many people across the land will opt out entirely. I’d be the farm that it will be huge.

Kinda hard for them to polish a turd – when even the simple peon can see it for what it is.

Here’s hoping they miss the November date by 13 months.

Me too. I can’t believe the “fake but accurate” See-BS network is going after The Messiah like this. I’m beginning to think there’s a conspiracy.

This disaster of a program has forced tens of thousands off their previous plans. They can be caught without coverage while the elected geniuses are still telling us all is well. What happens to someone needing hospital care and has no coverage? Who is responsible? Who pays?

Another group losing badly are people with low paying jobs now with reduced hours and income. Will N. Pelosi make up the lost wages Huh? Huh?

I think there is reason to be angry and turn racist/

FOWG1 on October 26, 2013 at 1:02 PM

How about a complete 60 Minutes special about the disaster that is Obamacare?

SC.Charlie on October 26, 2013 at 1:02 PM

OT: You’ll have to wait. Apparently, 60 Minutes has a piece on Benghazi this Sunday that’s supposed to be very critical of the Obama administration.

On topic: check out Pelley’s look of chagrin as he tosses the segment to Atkisson. Why does he look so grim? Because Atkisson will actually do some reporting. I do quibble with one thing in her concluding remarks. She reports that 3 and 10 are completing an application. But yesterday, we learned that an overwhelming number of those completing applications are signing up for Medicaid (good luck getting a doctor), not for Obamacare. I do like how she noted that 9 in 10 are able to set up an account–but couldn’t after three tries! Nice concluding dig from a reporter who’s doing her job.

Welcome to the party, pal. Now about this Benghazi thing……

I think the Julius Caesar moment comes when Obama says “Et Tu MSNBC.”

PrettyD_Vicious on October 27, 2013 at 12:26 AM

maybe CBS is more willing to do their job of reporting truthfully on the obvious BULLSCHMIDT that is Obamacare, because …. it has become known (within the industry)… that …. the likelihood of journalists or Producers’ infant children suddenly dying tragically, or there cars driving at high speed into poles, has decreased ….. significantly …..

exodus2011 on October 27, 2013 at 12:37 AM

As much as I despise CBS they were the only major network to do any Benghazincoverage thanks to Sharyl Attkisson, I’m surprised she is still around.

banzaibob on October 27, 2013 at 8:18 AM

I expect Premier Obama to sign an EO that makes it a hanging offense for journalists to try to create unnecessary accounts for the sake of testing the system. The volume is what’s causing it to crash after all. Sibelius said so.

CBS’ Mark Knoller was also the only White House reporter to actually ask Obama a question about the ObamaCare debacle at his love-in press conference earlier this month. I think the network must be doing this in a deliberate effort to irk Dan Rather, on whatever cable channel in the 700 digital tier Dan’s on right now…

The CBS guy would introduce a report on the death of a beloved national hero with the same demeanor.

Sheryl rocks though.

3 days on the job, Jeff Zients declares fix date? beware of Jeff Zients.

d1carter on October 27, 2013 at 1:45 PM

Much as I would like there to be a glimmer of hope that the media–in this case, CBS–is getting a clue that this clustermess is never going to work…I personally feel it’s more like this: they so wanted it to work because they adore Dear Leader so much, that they are reporting all this in the hopes that he will make sure it gets fixed so it does go back to being the glorious solution for the masses that Dear Leader sold it as. It’s like they’re begging for him to fix it.

Not that he cares–he hopes it’ll fail so he can then push single payer as the solution. But they are too blind to see that (unless some of them actually believe that will work as well).

That, or they want the story to be old news by the time the elections roll around.

Kafir on October 27, 2013 at 9:02 PM

Every day Healthcare.gov doesn’t work will be the drip drip drip of propofol filling Obamacare’s veins. I didn’t even include the website dysfunction on my 101 Reasons Obamacare Blows blog.

A boy can dream can’t he?

Bradvanhalen on October 27, 2013 at 9:04 PM

No 7 million young payers, it breaks.

And then we get single payer instead.

We are screwed either way, especially with feckless Republicans in D.C. who challenge nothing these leftists do.

Right Mover on October 27, 2013 at 9:22 PM

Too bad they didn’t read what was out there to read four years ago. Too bad they didn’t “report” or “investigate” the cause and effect back then. This is a textbook example of you reap what you sow …

And so the sun rises on day 28 of the unfolding crisis: “Your Health Care held Hostage”

…this steaming pile of gov’t ineptitude served up to over 300 million daily by the shamwow gang, now infesting a White House near you!

Green Room
CBS: Yeah, ObamaCare’s woes are much worse than WH admitted

Oh…. MUCH worse…

The most die hard in your face republicans suck and hate working people democrat I ever knew..

my mother in law..

just lost her coverage, after taking an early retirement from the Ohio teacher’s pension plan, took the buy out.. but still had her insurance. She was a custodian, but was covered under the teachers union plan.

now, she wants all the pols responsible in DC strung up, with Obama heading the list.. she still has her republican hate going on, but can’t scapegoat this any further..

One to one, she adores me as a son in law, but can’t make the connection between the one republican she knows, and seeing that the DNC propaganda about us being a huge lie too, she thinks I’m an anomaly, instead of the norm.

My point though..

He’s LOOSING his dem blue collar base, and loosing them fast..

She cannot afford the plan offered up in it’s place, a 300% increase..
