Oh my: Filner facing felony charge; Update: Guilty plea?

Last we heard from former Congressman and Mayor Bob Filner, he was packing up his office in San Diego after being pressured into resigning from office after an avalanche of sexual harassment allegations. It turns out to have been worse than that:
Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, who resigned from the helm of California’s second-largest city following a string of sexual harassment allegations, has been charged with false imprisonment and battery, the San Diego Superior court said on Tuesday.
Filner was charged with felony false imprisonment and two misdemeanor counts of battery involving three women, and a hearing would be held later on Tuesday, the court and state prosecutors said.
As we’ve repeatedly wondered over the last few months, what did Filner do while he was in Washington? This kind of predatory behavior, if proven, doesn’t just erupt overnight at the age of 70.
Update: The Democrat originally pleaded not guilty at an arraignment today, but local reporter Ashlee DeMartino reported immediately afterward that Filner changed his plea:
Change of plea going on now – Filner has signed form to plead guilty to all 3 charges – judge going thru the plea papers.

Three charges, but no word if the felony false imprisonment was still one of them. I’m guessing the felony charge frightened Filner into cutting a deal to keep it all at the misdemeanor level.
Update: According to ABC, the guilty plea includes the felony.
