By the way, the DNC is broke

posted at 11:46 am on October 1, 2013 by

This story is just perfect — particularly in light of the party’s endemic debt denialism, and the personal financial straits of its chairwoman:

There’s another budget crisis in Washington, and it’s unfolding inside the Democratic party. The Democratic National Committee remains so deeply in the hole from spending in the last election that it is struggling to pay its own vendors. It is a highly unusual state of affairs for a national party — especially one that can deploy the President as its fundraiser-in-chief – and it speaks to the quiet but serious organizational problems the party has yet to address since the last election, obscured in part by the much messier spectacle of GOP infighting.  The Democrats’ numbers speak for themselves: Through August, 10 months after helping President Obama secure a second term, the DNC owed its various creditors a total of $18.1 million, compared to the $12.5 million cash cushion the Republican National Committee is holding.

The Democrats: Recklessly spending themselves to political victory…and into fiscal oblivion.  Forward!

The Democrats would call this a success. They whomped us in 2012 and got Obama re-elected, so what does it matter where the money comes from?

Perms for their spokespoodle aren’t cheap.

From what I saw OFA is sucking up much of the money that would have gone to the DNC.
So my bet is that if the DNC collapses, OFA will take over and we will have far left extremists in control of the entire party instead of just the leadership.

Don’t worry, they’re too big to fail. And they got connections if they ever need a bailout… because America needs a functioning Democrat Party, right? Right????

Don’t worry, the Dems will find a way–with much fanfare from the liberal press–to make us pay their bills. It worked with the party-payback bill called “Stimulus”.

No worries. Barry will just steer taxpayer dollars to companies run by campaign contributors – then he’ll hit them up for a “donation”.

We’re not broke, we’ve been investing.

I can’t laugh at them. They won. I would give anything right now to have a bankrupt RNC and a GOP in the White House.

That’s what verbalunatic says you should do to pay for your healthcare….

Which is not exactly a bug to them.
