They need better reading comprehension skills.

“for some reason”

Might that reason be the pope (falsely) claiming Catholics only talk about abortion and obsess about it too much? Seems to me that Catholics need reading lessons just as much as NARAL.

Bad Catholic material was used in this

While not from the pulpits of local parishes, certain Catholic bishops seem obsessed with sexual issues, especially Burke and the BurkeClones. Of course, Burke is so concerned with reducing the number of abortions that rather than supporting crisis pregnancy centers and charities for women who find themselves pregnant, after denouncing abortion, he goes back to purchasing bedazzled vestments that cost thousands of dollars. On top of that, Catholic TV, Catholic forums, etc. are all about sexual morality all the time. And if they speak of the other side of the ledger, then it is all about the laity’s prudential judgment despite the fact that the Church’s position on issues like immigration is very clear. Conservative Catholics are as cafeteria as liberal Catholics.

Pope Francis is a very astute man and has the problems with the Church in the U.S. to a T. At the national level, the UCCB is perceived as being obsessed with sexual matters at the expense of everything else. Many bishops are frequent flier mile careerists and don’t smell like their sheep. At the parish level, parish councils, etc. are overtly politicized, priests only cater to certain parishioners and aren’t concerned with lost sheep, laypeople are obsessed with liturgical minutia, parishes are unwelcoming and erect barriers to people seeking God and receiving the Sacraments. Need I go on…

Thank you for that. The NakedDC article attributes nothing, so one could almost call what they did plagiarism.
