ExpressoBold on September 17, 2013 at 8:14 AM

You know, one of nonpartisans high capacity clip skeet rifles.

smoothsailing on September 17, 2013 at 8:18 AM

Really? Was he carrying a AA-12 instead?

LoganSix on September 17, 2013 at 8:22 AM

I like the xxxx’s and the redacted scumbag name. Would be great to see that become a standard approach. Enough with the fame.

ExpressoBold on September 17, 2013 at 8:37 AM

rbj on September 17, 2013 at 8:53 AM

cozmo on September 17, 2013 at 8:57 AM

Fully agree! I don’t care want to know about this moron’s name or face.

Mohonri on September 17, 2013 at 9:09 AM

A slightly more credible source says it was a Remington 870.

1911Man on September 17, 2013 at 9:10 AM

“Plus, it has this thing, that goes up.”

..especially the ones with the 100-rd drum clips and barrel-shrouds.

The War Planner on September 17, 2013 at 9:24 AM

..you know, like this.

The War Planner on September 17, 2013 at 9:27 AM

Did it have a compass in the stock and this thing which tells time?

CurtZHP on September 17, 2013 at 9:29 AM

It’s no mistake.

The media needed to get the evil assault rifle name out there no matter what it’s relevance was to the story. They know the low info’s will get their impression of what happened from the initial stages of the reporting. The low info’s won’t be around for when all of the facts come out. All part of the narrative.

HumpBot Salvation on September 17, 2013 at 9:38 AM

OMG! A legally purchased AR15 SHOTGUN?!?!?!?!?!?

We’re so screwed if people can legally purchase AR15 shotguns. What’s next; legally purchased pump action gatlings??

NotCoach on September 17, 2013 at 10:02 AM

You know, one of nonpartisans high capacity clip skeet rifles.

smoothsailing on September 17, 2013 at 8:18 AM

Those are nonlethal, and toddler safe.

NotCoach on September 17, 2013 at 10:02 AM

I thought it was a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.

dentalque on September 17, 2013 at 10:33 AM

Don’t they mean AR-15 handgun?

HiJack on September 17, 2013 at 10:55 AM

I thought it was a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.

dentalque on September 17, 2013 at 10:33 AM

“Hey, just what you see, pal”

Ditkaca on September 17, 2013 at 11:05 AM

Sorry, folks but there ARE AR-15 STYLE shotguns (Not that the idiots on CNN actually would know a thing about them).

michaelo on September 17, 2013 at 12:28 PM

I did see a gun magazine a few months back talking about shotguns designed to look like AR-15s… doesn’t make them shoot anything other than shotgun shells though.

Ukiah on September 17, 2013 at 12:44 PM

Hey CNN…Are those “white crosses” we see ???
..Shame on you CNN….. tsk tsk tsk you just offended maybe 3 atheists out there.. 🙁

OR

with all the white crosses, was that a lame attempt at trying to make like he’s a “white black guy” or something ?? 😀

BigSven on September 17, 2013 at 12:56 PM

I saw some AR15 shotguns once, next to the lightsabers and phasers.

CrustyB on September 17, 2013 at 1:17 PM

A slightly more credible source says it was a Remington 870.

1911Man on September 17, 2013 at 9:10 AM

Yikes!!! I have one of those in my gun cabinet!!!
Should I turn myself in now,or should I wait for the SWAT team to bust in first????

Cripes, that 870 is looking at me right now!!!

Gotta get outa here…

*BOOM*

Too late….

VelvetElvis on September 17, 2013 at 1:30 PM

Sorry, VelvetElvis. R.I.P. That evil 870 jumped up and got you. That’s why I keep the door on my safe locked. My 870 knows not to bite his master, but he stays in his pen until he’s needed.

1911Man on September 17, 2013 at 1:39 PM

I have on good authority that it was, in fact, a ceramic Uzi-Mac-47 with a high-capacity barrel shroud.

Bruce MacMahon on September 17, 2013 at 3:18 PM

All y’all are wrong it was an AR-15 double barrel shotgun.

davidk on September 17, 2013 at 3:30 PM

The double barreled, 8 gauge, fully automatic AR-15 shotgun. Wow just wow.
