Video: Stranahan’s pitch for crowdfunded reporting on Syria’s Christian refugees

posted at 11:02 am on September 13, 2013 by

I’ve mentioned Lee Stranahan’s effort to raise funds and independently report on the plight of Christians in the Syrian civil war.  Lee has a rough-cut video of his new pitch, and hopes to get some crowdsourcing in order to improve it.  The pitch itself is worth watching (and responding to it is even more worthwhile), but be sure to drop a note in the comments for any suggestions on how to refine the video further.

You can also give Lee feedback on Twitter.

Thank -you Mr. Morrissey, the plight of these Christians cannot be forgotten nor ignored. Mr. Stranahan, God bless you and your endeavor.

I gave what I could, hope it helps and thanks for the heads up.

Considering the travel warnings to Syria, I’d bet this would be hard to pull off. There are not very many journalists there, either. How does he get cleared to go? Valid questions about someone who tends to crowdfund lots and does not return the money when he does not deliver what is expected (Google it). Lee does some good work over at Breitbart, but the crowdfunding needs to stop already.
