AP reporter to State spox: Did the WH have its spine removed, or what?

posted at 2:53 pm on September 5, 2013 by

Color Associated Press reporter Matt Lee unimpressed with Barack Obama’s supposed courage in asking Congress for authorization to conduct a war against Syria.  Via Business Insider, Lee asked Jen Psaki whether there was a “group spine removal procedure at the White House over the weekend”:

Lee’s argument came from this premise: How is it “courageous” for Obama to ask for Congress to approve something that he believes he has the right to do, anyway?

“I don’t understand why he is so full-throatedly in favor of this,” Lee said. “He over the weekend said the president was acting courageously by taking this to Congress, and I don’t understand what is courageous about asking permission for something that you say you don’t need and to do what you believe to be the right thing not just morally but in general.

“Can you explain why this is a courageous move, and why the secretary would call it a courageous move?”

Psaki’s response followed the White House’s standard line — that Kerry believes limited, targeted strikes, and Congressional approval for those strikes, are the “right step.”

Cutting off her answer, Lee asked, “Was there some kind of, like, group spine-removal procedure at the White House over the weekend? I don’t understand. How is this courageous?”

Poor Lee. He has a reprimand from his boss coming, removal from his beat at the request of the WH, a possible IRS audit, and a possible DoJ investigation.

When will these people learn that you don’t ask uncomfortable questions to the regime?

About dang time

I find this question offensive. The Obama Whitehouse never had a spine to begin with.

In WWII the Germans sent soldiers who made waves to the Russian Front.
What is the journalistic equivalent of the Russian Front? The Obituaries? The Fashion section? Traffic court?

Typical clueless sycophant: AP’s Lee honestly believed the White House had a spine to remove.

Spines worldwide deny every having been a part of the “being” know as Obama.

Why is it that when the going gets tough they always send out a woman? We’re there any women around when Obama had his victory speech over Osama? It seems like when this administration looks bad they send out a woman to be the public face of their stupidity.

She said the President has the authority to act without the cooperation of Congress. Think about that for a second. She didn’t say the President has the authority to command the troops in the event of an imminent threat ala the War Powers act or by virtue of being the CIC. He has the power inherent to the role of CIC, but he does not have the ability to fund it on his own dime, that is Congress’s power. Complete Obama tool.

The Democrat press not happy with their guy, Obama, following the Constitution and putting a US first strike offensive war to a Congressional vote.

If you like your spine-removal specialist, under OboozleCare you can keep him. Congratulations.

The entire premise of the AP article is stupid on its face. Article I specifically delegates the power to declare war to the Congress.

What King Narcissus O-Bomb-em thinks he has the authority to do is irrelevant.
