Video: Star Trek discovers twerking

posted at 12:01 pm on September 3, 2013 by

It’s no Downfall, but as a Star Trek fan, I actually think this is more appropriate — especially Spock’s reaction at 1:09.  However, be warned — you have to watch a few clips of Miley Cyrus’ twerking and grinding in order to appreciate it (via Power Line):

I’m so bummed I didn’t think about that one first!

Star Twerk.

Shy Guy on September 3, 2013 at 12:31 PM

Bummed you didn’t think of it first?

That should have been a banable offense.

cozmo on September 3, 2013 at 12:55 PM

No way I’m watching that li’l biatch twerk again.

Worth the price of admission.

BTW, best reactions in this clip are from Uhura.

But there is one really good one from Scotty.

…you have to watch a few clips of Miley Cyrus…

Pass.

Thanks Ed, that was very funny.

The continuity errors were just too glaring.

How to tell the real basement dwelling Trekkies from regular folks who partake of the genre.

cozmo on September 3, 2013 at 2:30 PM

I was waiting for a fat guy in a yellow shirt to start gyrating his ass…

Does not compute.

C’mon, it was funny — and well-deserved.

hillbillyjim on September 3, 2013 at 3:07 PM

Hilarious — and There Goes the Neighborhood was right — Uhura’s reax are the best. LOL

HiJack on September 3, 2013 at 1:22 PM

I didn’t watch it the first time. I sure as heck am not going to watch it now, in any form.
And I’m a Star Trek fan.

It was bad enough seeing the pics everywhere of her tongue hanging out like a rabid dog.

When you accept an inferior product, you end up with midichlorians, Greedo shooting first and John McCain. True Conservatives should demand quality continuity. Would Ronald Reagan find this acceptable? Continuity errors are the hallmarks of “nuanced” and “evolving” views, the gateway drugs of socialism. That may fly at your OFA meetings, comrade, but not here.

Just because I know the differences between the Corbomite Maneuver and each of the Picard Maneuvers, does not alter the fact that you all are racists who hate America!

Epic, RW… LOL

Uhura’s were really good, but I think my favorite was the confused look from Chekov… like he’s not sure what he’s seeing but can’t bring himself to look away.

Of course, if you asked him he’d just say that twerking was invented in a small tavern in Irkutsk.

Best response to the Miley twerking incident I have seen.

Anyone get the name of the new Enterprise commander? I think it was Captain Twerk.
