Video: In which conservatives crash HHS’ Obamacare propaganda contest

posted at 1:43 pm on August 26, 2013 by

Fun, subversive stuff from Crossroads GPS, in response to the administration’s latest Obamacare marketing project — for which we’re all paying, natch.  Good luck scoring any of the taxpayer-funded prize cash, brahs:

I have some additional (and more serious) analysis of Obamacare and young people over at Townhall.

But…but…but if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.

King Barry said so!

..Goodbye Mr Spalding! Touch ‘em all! Nothing but net!

The War Planner on August 26, 2013 at 2:15 PM

Love it!

Okay, my donation embargo could be paused to get this on TV.

PattyJ on August 26, 2013 at 2:32 PM

More!

Why can’t smart creative conservatives be producing more of this?

Ridicule may be the strongest form of criticism we have and can do a lot to change popular opinions.
See: Sarah Palin. Her character was assassinated with ridicule.

somewhatconcerned on August 26, 2013 at 2:32 PM

LOL, THAT was GREAT!!!

44Magnum on August 26, 2013 at 2:39 PM

And that right there is how you topple the status quo!
.
Dems have been doing this for decades now it’s time for them to feel the boom stick of mockery.

FANTASTIC!!!!

dominigan on August 26, 2013 at 3:16 PM

“Mandates” Lol!
Love it!

Yes, this should be on every channel on tv.

Sterling Holobyte on August 26, 2013 at 3:35 PM

I couldn’t understand it at the end….did they say “no lemmings were injured in the production of this commercial”?

Ditkaca on August 26, 2013 at 3:35 PM

I approve of this form of beating.

Freeze the graphic at the end. The announcer is basically just reading the contents of the box.

I approve of this form of beating bleating.

nobar on August 26, 2013 at 3:37 PM

Fixed.

HiJack on August 26, 2013 at 3:56 PM

Now, if only SNL will get into the act…

HiJack on August 26, 2013 at 3:57 PM

If only I could believe that Crossroads/Rove/GOP leadership actually wanted to get rid of Obamacare rather than use it, as in this ad, to win elections. And, once elected, promptly do nothing about it.

besser tot als rot on August 26, 2013 at 4:06 PM

This is the kind of “hammering” I want to see all the way to election day.

If there’s a place we can donate to get this on TV, (MTV, VH1, Bravo etc.) let me know. We don’t need it on the big networks…it needs to hit the target audience.

JetBlast on August 26, 2013 at 4:09 PM

Yep, that’s good. I, too, will pry open the wallet, temporarily suspend my ‘no funds for the GOP’ promise if necessary, and donate to WHOEVER will take up the mantle and put this on national television.

Now it appears

dogsoldier on August 26, 2013 at 5:16 PM

Gotta play that on TV during Idol or Survivor, know what I’m sayin’?

dogsoldier on August 26, 2013 at 5:18 PM

Excellent.

I wish this type of ad was run all the time.

Norbitz on August 26, 2013 at 9:35 PM

Hey Guy. Have you figured out the difference between “conservative” and “Republican” yet? They’re not synonymous.

besser tot als rot on August 26, 2013 at 4:06 PM

What can I say? It was one factor of several that lost Romney the election in ’12. Voters may be stupid, but Republican conservative voters? Not so much.

gryphon202 on August 26, 2013 at 10:16 PM

After all, we all love hikes!

Galtian on August 27, 2013 at 2:28 AM

GB posting KR propaganda the minute it’s released. Hmm…

steebo77 on August 27, 2013 at 3:09 AM

Nuts, forgot that Crossroads was Rove.

*wallet slams shut again*

Midas on August 27, 2013 at 7:43 AM

Ditto

Carnac on August 27, 2013 at 8:47 AM

The only way they could make this better would be to get a clip from The Blair Witch Project when talking about how everyone loves a ‘hike’.

Fogpig on August 27, 2013 at 11:14 AM

Fatal flaw. Crossroads GPS is identified in the youtube video title. Because of that, it shows up in the preview when I repost on my FB page and my liberal and young friends see that name up front and will not click to view.

Not viewed; message is lost.

kurtzz3 on August 27, 2013 at 11:36 AM

It’s perfect! Keep up the good work!

Also, they titled it “Propaganda”

I get what it means, but they should have chosen a better title to lure in people.

bluegill on August 28, 2013 at 2:56 AM

The “propaganda” could be seen as meaning propaganda for or against Obamacare.

Dumb move.

Save the video to disk and upload to your own channel.

I’m sure they wouldn’t mind, since they want the message to get out.

But just to be safe you could ask them.
