Hooters bans Filthy Filner

posted at 11:19 am on August 14, 2013 by

Bob Filner may still be the Mayor of San Diego, but he’s no longer welcome in Hooters restaurants throughout the city.

Four San Diego-area Hooters restaurants — known for waitresses who wear tight orange shorts and tank tops — have posted signs saying they will not serve San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, who is fighting allegations of sexual harassment.

All four locations are owned by Hootwinc, which operates Hooters eateries on the West Coast.

“This establishment recognizes that we all have political differences and we serve people from all walks of life,” according to a sign posted in the window of the downtown location on Market Street. “We also believe it is imperative for people to have standards. The mayor of San Diego will not be served in this establishment. We believe women should be treated with respect.”

It’s all about standards, people.

Hooters bans Filthy Filner

While I appreciate the sentiment, is it even legal to ban him?

Restaurants usually reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, so they should be able to.

Don’t restaurants have the right to refuse service?

Well at least Filner can still go to the titty bar and shove dollar bills in the “dancers” g-string.

Banned from Hooters?

You gotta be the Niagra of douchenozzledom to be banned from frickin’ Hooters.

Oh, it is a PR stunt all right. But not a silly one. Rather one that takes a rather nice jab at the hypocritical Mayor.

Glenn Beck created this sign. Hooters just picked it up.

No morals, no sense, no service.

very wise Hooters … who knows what this guy might try to grab in public!

hmmm …What if Mrs Filner went with him though? Is there a Mrs?

If there is, the Hooters signs could read:

“Filthy Filner Admitted if Accompanied by Leash-Wielding Wife”
