Nancy Pelosi: Let’s celebrate “health independence” on the Fourth

Rand Paul may be looking to rally for the Fourth Amendment on the Fourth of July, but Nancy Pelosi has a somewhat different idea in mind about what to celebrate on Independence Day. I mean, ObamaCare is “in the spirit of the founders,” after all…?

Remember, Independence is not the same thing as liberty or freedom. A tyrant can give you freedom, until he or she decides to take it away.

Lincoln freed the slaves, but only they could make themselves independent.

Well, in a way Pelousy is right…

Because when 0bamacare actually kicks in for the general populace, the decisions about their health will be completely independent…. from their needs, choices and desires.

I hate to say to it, but Pelosi is making sense. If we wanted to avoid the silly nonsense of Obamacare, we should have offered health insurance vouchers as an alternative. There is a problem for libertarians that given how income is distributed (log-normal for those who know what I mean) that many people really can’t afford the health care that we would like them to have.

And let me also point out that health care vouchers would mean that there would be maximal benefits from it, unlike the insane notion of not having maximum benefits which appears to be a selling point of Obamacare.

Lock the entire nation into a government-run program; eliminate all options that are not a part of the program; compel payments from the population at large for a product not of their choice, forced activity at every level – and this dingbat calls that ‘independence’.
