posted at 5:32 pm on June 7, 2013 by

Cheap racial demagogue Chris Matthews, minutes ago:

“We don’t have any African Americans in the United States Senate, which I think is a disgrace,” Matthews said.

Fact check:

Matthews’ false statement was corrected by a producer and a guest.

Well, do I have to state the obvious? Tim Scott isn’t a real African American because, you know. But you’d think he’d be aware of Mo Cowan.

Fenris on June 7, 2013 at 5:36 PM

If Chris Matthews is so upset about skin color, perhaps it is time for him to give up his job to a person who is darker than him.

wren on June 7, 2013 at 5:42 PM

I think it’s a disgrace that there is no one of any intelligence in the MSNBC primetime lineup.

Says the guy who is so white you can use him as a glow-stick.

Or morals, ethics and objectivity.

There are more AAs in the Senate than there are in MSNBC’s host lineup.

Odysseus on June 7, 2013 at 5:53 PM

Well, You coulda had three Chris(tina), but Noooo, you had to move one of them up to pResident.

LegendHasIt on June 7, 2013 at 6:05 PM

In his defense, neither one was elected to the Senate.

Which is to say, anybody at all. Heck, those weird albino aliens on Defiance look at Chris Matthews and say “geez, that guy could use a little sun”.

Tingles has gone off the deep end.

NOT ONLY THAT Mr. Matthews:

Tim Scott was ELECTED by the voters, the other guy is selected…

originalpechanga on June 7, 2013 at 7:05 PM

you’ve gotta forgive him. it’s sooo hard to look up this extremely complicated information on wikipedia or something. it’s much easier to just blurt out a statement without checking your facts!!

Who is this Matthews person everyone keeps harping about? This is not a person deserving of any scrutiny.

neyney on June 7, 2013 at 9:28 PM

Idiot. I mean seriously, can one man be this incredibly stupid and continue to function? I blame his Medulla oblongata.

Johnnyreb on June 7, 2013 at 9:29 PM

I see this as proof we live in a color blind society.

Halleluja. MLK is so proud right this minute.

papertiger on June 7, 2013 at 9:45 PM

At least Tingles lives in a color blind world.

You can ask him, “What color is the sky in your world Chris?”

He won’t know. He can’t tell.

Thrill up his leg had too much John Barleycorn before broadcast.

If only they had breaking news at MSNBC, Chrissy would have known about this.

Ethanol-induced neurological damage to the frontal lobe is permanent

It can also cause loss of some motor functions such as incontinence and loss of
bladder control, forcing the patient to wear adult diapers to prevent embarrassing events, such as urinating down his leg.

I blame Illinois for not electing a “real black Senator”…

It’s 10% of the senate and blacks are about 13% of the population of the country.

Does this guy ever think of anything else but skin color? MLK Jr. would be so disappointed to see how liberals can’t not see skin color.

NOT ONLY THAT Mr. Matthews:

originalpechanga on June 7, 2013 at 7:05 PM

Scott was an elected Representative to Congress, then appointed by Nikki Hailey to fill the remainder of Jim DeMint’s term. Special election in 2014.

BigAlSouth on June 8, 2013 at 4:20 PM

Lay off the guy already. If he says it is so, it is so. The Constitution should be suspended and the will of the people should be set aside in favor of direct appointment to the Senate of persons of color whose credentials are reviewed and approved of by a select committee of leftwing political elites. (Wonder if the committee should be exclusively people of color?)

What the heck, while everyone is in the mood, create committees for appointing Senators for LGBT, indigenous peoples, illegals and any other underrepresented group Chris can think of. They wouldn’t represent states, but Democrat favored groups.

Hey, maybe they can appoint someone to represent uber-progressive, former Nazi sympathizer Hungarian-American multi-billionaires! And create permanent seats for the Kennedy and Jesse Jackson clans.

Thanks Chris for bringing this to our attention. Putz.

To be fair, I ran out of fingers and toes and forgot to carry the one, but still, quite the brain fart. Sorry to anyone I made dumber by reading that.

V7_Sport on June 8, 2013 at 4:44 PM

Chris, what is it with you? 13% of the population is black but you think everything should be 50/50. If this is your goal lets start with the AFL, NFL and the ABB Association you idiot.

mixplix on June 8, 2013 at 6:25 PM

It’s frighteningly funny that Chris Matthews had to be educated to be so Weapons Grade Stupid!

If he was born that way. He’d be a Democrat Talking Head.

Oh, wait…..

“He aint white, he’s neon white”
“He’s so white he makes Barry Manilow look like a brother”

The Evil Doctor K on June 9, 2013 at 2:46 PM

The solution for white liberal racists like this subhuman Chris Mathews is to fire them and give their jobs to blacks…

mnjg on June 9, 2013 at 4:30 PM

For what it’s worth, I think the lack of intelligence on the Chris Matthews show is a disgrace.

[ponders]

But then, I guess they’d have to change the name.

EdmundBurke247 on June 9, 2013 at 5:02 PM

I think I could explain this to Matthews fairly easily. Running for the Senate, you have to run statewide. If you’re a kook left African-American Democrat who’s only capable of getting elected because you’re from the hood and your district has been gerrymandered, your chances of winning a statewide election are pretty slim. Of course you can lie about what you’ll do when you get there, like Barack Obama, or you can get appointed, by a governor. If you’re appointed, you still have to win a statewide election next time around, (or face a primary if the Democrats feel you’re a liability).

Those are the facts, but there have been black Senators who could appeal to voters statewide, including one from Massachusetts, Edward Brooke, who was a (can we say it) Republican.

I’d love to know what Matthews is suggesting, do we do a little affirmative action and appoint some, to meet his need, or do black Democrats get out of the inner cities and figure out what it takes to appeal to a statewide electorate. You see, Mr. Matthews, it’s not that the state electorate is biased, it’s that the candidates have no clue what the rest of their state is really interested in.
