Heh: Senior Democrat asked about one scandal, answers about another

posted at 10:40 pm on May 14, 2013 by

Sorting through #Scandalpalooza is admittedly hard work these days, so Hoyer gets a partial pass for this:

At Rep. Steny Hoyer’s weekly meeting with reporters on Tuesday, the Maryland Democrat was asked if he was concerned about the DOJ seizing phone records from Associated Press journalists working in the House press gallery in the Capitol building. Hoyer’s answer was well-delivered: Articulate, clear, firm and precise. One problem: He responded to the wrong scandal.

…When Hoyer named Lerner, Pergram interrupted. “We’re talking about two things,” Pergram, who apparently had not heard the first mention of the IRS, said from across the table, “You said Lois Lerner and the IRS.” Another reporter sitting closer to Hoyer, Public Radio International’s Todd Zwillich, learned over and said softly, “He’s talking about the AP story.” “Oh, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, excuse me,” Hoyer said, pausing briefly. “Whatever happened, we need to find out why it happened. But clearly it should not have happened. I don’t know enough about whether there was a warrant sought.”

But why did Lois Lerner secretly monitor Susan Rice’s talking points for two months before trying to coerce a “donation”?

Hoyer, who constantly blamed deficit budgets passed by the Democrat-majority House in 2007-2008 on Dubya, trying at once to escape culpability and depending on the ignorance of a low-information District and the complicit media to absolve Democrats and blame Bush, has never been known as a completely truthful man.

It would simplify things if they’d limit their responses — regardless of which scandal — to just screaming BBBOOOOOOOOOSSHHHHH!!! and running from the room. It’s sort of a one-size-fits-all excuse for BO’s incompetence.

I’d bet Steny is p.o.’ed to the max. Furious.

It gives him nothing but headaches, makes him look like a fool- and he knows it – and torpedoes any hope he had for leadership in the majority in 2014.

Gee, you’d think ole Steny would have assistants to help him out in these instances. Oh yeah, journalists are the Demonrats’ assistants. If had been a Republican, he would have allowed him to ramble on about the wrong thing.

So much corruption in this administration that you can’t even keep track of it.

Helluva a job, Obama!

And thank you, Obots, for the most corrupt administration since Nixon. You deserve each other.

Because Fast & Furious was a George W. Bush program!

“Whatever happened, we need to find out why it happened. But clearly it should not have happened…”

Because when sh!t happens, I’m not sure I know it, but I’ll know it when it happens. Maybe it’s all happenstance? I don’t know. Hey speaking of sh!t happening – I need my Depends changed.

Going into news junkie OD shock now. Scandals keep breaking faster and furiouser.

So, which ones are squirrels, and which are real? I can’t tell anymore. Maybe that’s the plan???
