Video: Tsarnaev in serious condition at … Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

I’d add this to the “Irony” thread on the main page, but I think I’d prefer it in a separate GR post. Many commenters have already remarked on the particular irony of what appears to be an Islamist terrorist being held and treated at a Jewish hospital, but what’s less amusing is that this is the same hospital where a dozen of his victims are being treated, too:
Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was under heavy guard in serious condition Saturday morning — at the same hospital where a dozen victims of Monday’s bombing are still recovering.
Federal investigators were waiting to question Tsarnaev, 19, a naturalized U.S. citizen of Chechen origin, hoping to uncover a motive for horrendous attacks that bookended a week of terror. ….
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was being held at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, where victims were also being treated after two blasts tore through crowds at the finish line of Monday’s race.
He was wounded in the firefight with cops but escaped, sparking a daylong lockdown of Boston and surrounding towns. A door-to-door manhunt had just ended when a Watertown resident noticed blood on the tarp covering a boat in his backyard, peeked under and found the suspect, a relative told TODAY.
I can’t imagine that this helps the families of those victims being treated at BIDMC, but then again, Tsarnaev and his brother created so many victims that there may not be a hospital without some being treated. CNN notes that 57 are still hospitalized, including three in critical condition.
