Reid: We’re making good progress on that anti-gun legislation

Talk about the mother of all Freudian slips! Harry Reid comes back for a do-over, but some might say that the first description was more accurate (via Ted Cruz’ office):

I’d buy the idea that this is actually an anti-gun violence bill, just as soon as anyone can explain how its provisions would have prevented Newtown or Tucson.

I’m more focused on the “good progress” a.k.a. “Republican’s roll-over” phrase.

Is anyone else tired of the way congresscritters say “done” as in, “we got healthcare done, and if we get immigration reform done President Obama will have a very good year”. It’s just the nonchalance with which they toss it off – got it done – these laws are ruining people’s lives, FFS!
