New U.S. ambassador to Japan: Er, Caroline Kennedy

posted at 9:43 am on April 1, 2013 by

I realize that the U.S. government can’t function without a Kennedy or two somewhere in the mix, but is there really no lesser diplomatic position to gift Princess? The Koreas are on the brink of war and Japanese tensions with China will be fragile for years to come. This is not a purely ceremonial role. Why not ambassador to Luxembourg instead? I’ll bet the skiing’s great.

Japanese don’t care too much for drunkards, I wonder how long she will last over there?

Obama makes April Fool’s Day hard. Everything he does seems like a joke.

the perpetual april fool administration.

So that’s her reward for shutting up and voting for the First Asian President?

Well, that’s one way to get away from her poorly-behaved kids and their hookah pipe.

This is Obama’s way of telling the Japanese what he thinks of them and anything important they wish to communicate to us.

With things rather tense between Japan and China, why the hell are they appointing mumbles? Bad choice.

Blake on April 1, 2013 at 1:19 PM

Well, like I think Ms Caroline would be like really great and like awesome.

.
Japanese don’t care too much for women in positions of authority, either.

They’re as chauvinistic as the Islamists, minus the harsh “Sharia Law” punishments.

i would think that a government allegedly exercising “smart power” would put a professional diplomat in the sensitive position of ambassador to Japan, but hey what do I know. Obama has done so well handling the Arab Spring, and “our friends” the Russians, he obviosly knows better than me.

I guess ambassador to Vanuatu job was already filled.
