Bad news from Democratic rep: Sequester could cost America 170 million jobs

posted at 2:06 pm on February 28, 2013 by

Now I’m worried. Can we afford to lose 170 million more jobs after losing 480 kajillion in Obama’s first four years?

So, you’re saying the US will owe the workforce ~20 million jobs?

Is deficit employment in our future?

Gosh, she is so smart..!

Not to be sexist, but if you look up “Dumb Broad” in Webster’s, her picture is there. A disgrace to her race, the congress (and that is hard t do), and the country. Maybe Ted Cruz will call her an idiot…. I wish.

There are 170 million jobs in this country? Really?

Crispian on February 28, 2013 at 6:33 PM

With regards to Everett Dirksen, a few million jobs lost here and a few million jobs lost there, pretty soon you will be talking about losing a hundred and seventy million jobs lost.

It is not the low information public I think we should be worried about, it is the low information politicians.

Sequester could cost America 170 million jobs

There are only 134 million people with jobs in the United States …

Thanks. That’s the number I wastrying to remember.

Maybe she’s including the undocumented.

If the gvt reduces spending less than a penny on the dollar, all employment inthe country will cease.

God save us from liberal f*ckwits.

I’m going to say something ugly… as long as majority black Democrat districts continue to vote for this type of bone-crushing ignorance to represent them on the national stage (Sheila Jackson Lee is another towering example of functional brain-death), they will continue to fight low-expectation stereotypes. This woman can’t help but be a foul, corrupt idiot… the dumb asses who keep pulling the lever for this hag have no excuse.

That’s great hair, Maxine… where did you buy it: Frederick’s of Hollywood?

ExpressoBold on February 28, 2013 at 9:10 PM

She was in my top three guesses. No real surprise.

Fallon on February 28, 2013 at 10:11 PM

Number Employed in the Civilian labor force in January 2013:
143,322,000

Number of jobs that Maxine Waters thinks sequestration might cost:
170,000,000

So, Maxine Waters thinks that each and every civilian job in America, PLUS 26,678,000 more jobs beyond that, would vaporize?

And let’s not forget that Maxine Waters is famous for this:

And guess what this liberal would be all about? This liberal would be all about socializing — er, uh. [Pauses for several moments] …. would be about … [pause] … basically … taking over, and the government running all of your companies.”

Actually it’s both. without the liv these stupid politicians would be unemployed or in prison. Think hand and glove.

A country that elects a Maxine Waters and a Barack Obama and 1000′s of others like them is country that will not survive long.

Sad, but true.

There’s another dingbat standing behind her, on her right – Eddie Bernice Johnson. When she was in the state senate here in Texas, she was referred to as “furniture” in one of TexasMonthly’s “Ten Best/Ten Worst Legislators” features.

So then we’d need to borrow 30 million jobs from China just to get back up to 0?

krome on March 1, 2013 at 11:40 AM

Now I understand why they felt they needed to pass a violence against women bill.

The Rogue Tomato on February 28, 2013 at 3:09 PM

So wrong and yet so funny.
I’m sure I’ll see Maxine’s quote on the front page of my newspaper today/

Competition for the dumbest politician is very fierce: you have Pelosi, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Boxer, Feinstein, Louise Slaughter.

But Maxine is really in a class of her own. Normal brain cells die when she speaks, so it is advisable to watch her interviews with the sound muted.

Listening to her talk about the economy is like looking directly into the Sun. Occasionally, there will be a solar flare of elemental stupidity which can cause sensory overload.

If you substitute her use of the words “sequester”, “women” and “family” with “ethics investigation”, “graft” and “corruption”, you get a more realistic view of her everyday experience.
