New Prager U course: The UN vs Israel

posted at 12:31 pm on February 25, 2013 by

“Either there’s something very wrong with Israel that I’m not telling you about,” Anne Bayefsky tells us in this new course at Prager University, “or there’s something very wrong with the United Nations that you should know about.”  The efforts of the UN to focus all its attention on alleged human-rights violations are made ridiculous by (a) the composition of the UN General Assembly and especially its human-rights panels, and (b) the relative freedom of Israel to most of the rest of the world:

In the last few decades the United Nations has been obsessed with one country. Is it North Korea, Zimbabwe, Iran, Syria, China or some other nation with a reprehensible human rights record? Those would all be fair guesses and they would all be wrong. Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Human Rights Institute, answers this riddle and explains the upside down moral universe in which the United Nations resides.

A couple of years ago, I attended a counter-Durban conference staged by Anne Bayefsky in New York, which I covered for Hot Air.  Be sure to watch this all, as things at the UN haven’t improved since.

I have a better idea: we can cut a lot more than that by eliminating any kind of foreign aid to any nation that is not a direct ally under threat of land invasion. And no longer participating in either the Useless Nitwits or North America Takes care Of your spoiled a$$es.

Maybe Chuck Hagel should be replacing Susan Rice.
