Video: Cato Institute’s SOTU response

It’s actually more of a fact check than a response, as Cato pulls apart some of the claims made by Barack Obama in last night’s State of the Union speech.  The first and easiest target is Obama’s claim that we have enacted spending “cuts,” when we haven’t actually cut anything except the rate of increase in future spending — and only theoretically.  But don’t stop there, as Cato’s scholars deconstruct most of the rest of Obama’s claims.

If this Rogue-in-Chief president continues on his chosen path with any push-back, there won’t be a 2016 election. He will appoint himself permanent President via EO!

After watching the SOTU speech last night, I came away with the feeling that Obama never told us what the state of the union really is. All this speech really amounted to was BS, lies and blaming others for what his administration failed in doing right. He talked about the need for jobs while through executive orders and regulations he is killing them. His idea of government being the solution to all the country’s problems, shows his total lack of seeing reality as it is.

What offends me the most is at the end when he says “God bless these United States of America” when everything he has done since he’s been in office point to him and his wife having the same feeling as Rev. Wright which is really ‘God damn America’.

Too bad that the people who need to watch this won’t.
