Bad news: Zombie apocalypse underway in Montana

posted at 11:51 am on February 12, 2013 by

A surprisingly effective hack, thanks to the Pavlovian dread evoked instantly by the tone of the Emergency Broadcast System. If they’d somehow managed to hack the video feed too and cut to a clean-cut guy at a desk reading the bulletin, they might well have started a legit panic. Or at least a run on the local Ace Hardware.

I thought I looked a little pale this morning…Think I’ll make some pancakes.

MontanaMmmm on February 12, 2013 at 11:56 AM

I was watching the Perfect Pancake commercial, was there a Zombie warning, too?

All those people who took the Z-Apocalypse seriously, were better prepared for Nemo.

So, is this the official The Walking Dead thread?

I would have liked to see Montana….

I, for one, welcome our zombie overlords.

Gingotts on February 12, 2013 at 12:29 PM

Montana could probably handle it. Let Harrison Ford get infected first, though.

I expect they would be far more reasonable and humane than our current Democrat overlords.
I’d rather have a zombie eat my brain than endure the long painful torture of liberals trying to turn it to mush.

I’d love to send the prankster a bottle of good wine.

Of course they want us to believe it was just some random hacker. It’s a conspiracy I tell ya!!!

vcferlita on February 12, 2013 at 12:53 PM

Of all the states this could happen in, why did the Zs pick my state?

Kissmygrits on February 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM

Question: would the zombies eat the brains of liberals? If so, have everyone in Cali move to Montana right away.

Apparently EAS works differently in NY (surprise – not like the rest of the country again) but in at least several Midwest and central southern states, EAS historically works just as in the video – scrolling banner and interruption of the audio. Although, somewhat recently our cable provider changed it up so that when real EAS kicks in the channel switches to some shopping network type station whereas EAS tests are still exactly as in the video.

Another state goes Democrat.

Brains in liberals is a much less likely thing than a zombie invasion.

Not much there to eat… They’d still be hungry afterward.

I think he’s in Wyoming. But Ted Turner and Dave Letterman hang out here in MT.

acasilaco on February 12, 2013 at 2:39 PM

Yeah, well, the hack took place in Great Falls, so folks just called the tv station. If it had been in Zoo Town, they’d probably have a Zombie Outreach Program by now. 😉

Since when did Montana get over run by Obama voters? They’ll leave once they realize jobs are plentiful…
