Remember that time Obama dumped on Paul Ryan’s budget to his face? It was a total accident

Via Matt Lewis, I am — how you say? Ah yes — extremely skeptical. The One has never been shy about disparaging his opponents to their faces. You watched his second inaugural. You watched him misstate the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Citizens United case while they were sitting there at the SOTU a few years ago. You’ll see him do this again tomorrow night. Liberals love when he shifts into “fight” mode, and like I said this morning, he’s good at making his partisan broadsides sound less tendentious than they are for the benefit of low-information voters. This is just how he is, especially when it comes to a guy on the other side with some stature, like Ryan.

Watch “Poisoning the Well” on PBS. See more from FRONTLINE.

Well, they’ve been whitewashing everything the admin so far, might as well cover for him here too.

Yeah. That was totally planned. Obama is a bully and he wanted to use the power of the Presidency to demagogue an opponent who made him look bad to his face. However, the issue really is why the White House feels the need to clumsily lie about it this time and throw twenty-something staffers under the bus for a “scheduling error.” My theory is that this was beyond the pale even by the hyperpartisan standards of the White House and it was one of the few times that Barry has gotten called out for his tactics.

That’s just how he is … he’s a liar and has no integrity.

This entire administration is a total accident… of the train wreck variety.

The One has never been shy about disparaging his opponents to their faces.

Especially when they are not in a position to respond.

Anyone who believes this, contact me. Have I got a bridge for you!

Why even go to the effort to conjure up this lie? It’s not even remotely believable and it had been mostly forgotten.

LukeinNE on February 11, 2013 at 4:06 PM

Even when they don’t have to lie, they do. I suppose it’s to keep in practice. But do you really need to practice a skill that comes so naturally?

That’s my whole point. Why the need to lie about this? BTW, this is also the line that Barry fed Woodward for his book. It was unbelieveable back then as well.

The whole thing is that this is an awful lie. It’s one step up from the dog ate my homework.

Illinidiva on February 11, 2013 at 4:35 PM

PBS and Frontline follow their master around, a giant tax subsidized roll of toilet paper, wiping up after he messes himself. So eloquent in their classlessness, there isn’t so much as a stain on the back of his suit pants.
But the stench coming from Frontline is quite memorable. Another sad day for America, brought to you by the graceless marxist in chief. Paid for by, well you.

Remember that time Barry gave Hillary the finger? Remember the time he flipped of McCain? What about when he shot the bird at Boehner?

Total accidents, all of them.

Will any Republican have the guts to walk out on this socialist pig when he viciously attacks them during the State of the Union address. This man has made it clear that bi-partisanship is a dirty word and that he considers himself the Imperial president of just over half the nation that voted for him.Walk out Republicans! Walk Out!

Yep, and his targets sit there and take it like the sissies they are. Ultimately we as a nation suffer the most because our reps who are supposed to take care of business take a break. Fk em all. And not in a good way.

arnold ziffel on February 11, 2013 at 10:37 PM

Why, no, we didn’t watch the SOTU or Inauguration. My blood pressure is high enough, thank you. And we don’t think his every nose-picking utterance is of Biblical proportions, even though he clearly does.

PBS- Propaganda BullShit

ctmom on February 12, 2013 at 9:23 AM

If the Mainstream Propaganda Machine doesn’t say Comrade O is being combative, pugnacious, contentious, tendentious, partisan, and divisive, then obviously he isn’t.

And it is unlikely they will ever say he is.

Instead he is presented as reasonable and looking out for the “middle class”. Dear Leader is only trying to find “common ground” on which to “compromise” with a divisive, partisan, obstructionist, unreasonable, and extremist right wing GOP.

We really are living in an Orwellian country now.

This story was in Bob Woodward’s book on the debt ceiling negotiations. He presented it as one of the more credible explanations Team Obama presented with respect tot their failures to deal substantively with Republicans. Imagine how incredible the rest of their explanations were that Woodward could only muster benefit of the doubt on this one tale.
