Video: The Virtual Inaugural Speech

posted at 11:11 am on February 8, 2013 by

Bill Whittle is, after all, the Virtual President.  That means he has to offer a Virtual Inaugural Speech.  Here it is, although the PDF link is not working, so you can’t follow along.

I can’t wait for the Virtual State of the Union.

“back into the box it came in”

That says it all.

Bill always boils it down to what really matters… our pursuit happiness is in conflict with their pursuit of power. Bind their power; release our pursuit of happiness. They will forever be trying to lower the perception, and true measure, of the virtue of the people; because it justifies there persuit of more power.

One question: Why is this in the Green Room? The subject matter and quality of content dwarfs the value of every other post on the page.

“Every time the government gets in the way, it makes us all POORER, because the government doesn’t make anything. It only makes things harder for other people to make things.”

“The final thing we need to be happy is virtue. Now, some people think virtue means not having sex until you’re seventy. But it doesnt mean that at all. Being virtuous just means doing the right thing when you’re supposed to. Honestly, honestly my fellow Americans – being virtuous really just means don’t be a jerk. It’s just that simple. Don’t cut in line. Don’t cheat on tests. Live up to your obligations. Pay your bills. Don’t hurt anyone. Don’t take anyone else’s stuff. And do what you promise to do. It’s really just that simple. Now, our happiness depends on virtue because virtuous people don’t need endless rules and regulations. Virtuous people can govern themselves.”

I’ve never heard wealth creation explained so clearly. The next time my daughter comes home from college with her boyfriend, they’re gonna watch this on the big screen.

Bill Whittle is one of the premier voices in Conservatism today.

Wonderful idea, and executed with his usual style!
