Couldn’t have been. The brunette was the smart one.

She’s now defending the right of the other capital gang to violate the religious freedom of Americans (that they don’t care about).

I greatly appreciate the Catholic Church but I do not hold the Bishop responsible for my sins or shortcomings. My Bishop and my Pastor show me the way. It is up to me whether or not I choose to follow.

Ah, yes … there’s that pesky Free Will thing again. Someone commented yesterday (don’t remember who) about the bishops originally championing Obamacare, then reversing course when they discovered Obama and HHS fully intend to violate all Catholics’ religious liberty with the contraception mandate. Yes, the bishops should have known better than to have been on Obama’s side on this. They were at best naive and at worst, assenting to a matter contrary to Church teachings, a grave matter any way you look at it, especially since they are the leaders of the Catholic Church in the United States. For some bishops, it was their choice to continue to support Obamacare and that makes them just as big a candidate for Confession as the rest of us Catholics who sin. It’s been immensely disappointing for us to witness, but at least now they are starting to take the threat to our (everyone’s) religious freedoms seriously.

Hmmm. . . Margaret Carlson: Catholic educated, divorced “philandering” husband. I think what we got here is a bitter ex-Catholic with an axe to grind. After reading her columns, I think her husband should be congratulated on his escape.

As a Catholic, I can tell you there are two kinds.

There are the “cafeteria Catholics”, otherwise known as “C&E’s”. Cafeteria Catholics choose only those pieces of doctrine they care to believe that doesn’t interfere with their other beliefs, usually liberal. “C&E’s” mean they attend church twice a year, Christmas and Easter.

Then there are the devout, who live their life with a Christian purpose, who are there for Cathechism for their kids, serve as Sponsors for Confirmation, and are committed to their faith and their connection to God. These are the ones that voted for Romney.

People bitter with their upbringing like Margaret “picklepuss” Carlson are easy to spot.

Their the ones who hate feeling guilty about anything.

Shouldn’t the phrase “US Catholic bishops” be replaced by “Washington DC”?

Of course, Catholics will use contraception. They have been for decades.

Carlson suddenly realizes that individual Catholics actually violate Church teachings. There’s an app for that. It’s called Confession. Catholics also commit murders every now and then. Doesn’t mean the Bishops are required to endorse that, either.

The Anti-Catholic Catholics will be on board with that.
