We’re now stuck with just Tricare. Which may or may not be adequate for us. I’m putting all the money I would have had to spend on my share of the Aetna premiums in a special savings account, and we’ll see whether it works out or not.

I do want to know how the IRS is going to check for Tricare enrollment since as a retiree it doesn’t show up on the 1099-R.

Actually, $845 billion to be precise. And that’s after Obama got 3/4 of his desired tax hike on “the rich” and let the payroll tax holiday expire for 77% of working Americans on top of that. I would ask how much higher our taxes need to go in order for him to balance the budget, but I’m afraid to find out.
