He would probably object to killing one of those poor, little snipes.

However, he could be instructed in the proper technique of how to take them live (the same technique that we used to teach in my old Boy Scout troop). First, put a bag over your head (to prevent the snipe from seeing you). Then bang a stick on the ground, to frighten the snipe out of his snipe-hole. When the snipe runs out, snatch him up in the bag.
