Photo: Newsweek celebrates Obama’s inauguration as only Newsweek can

No, just kidding. Plenty of other people in the media can and will celebrate it this way too.

Didn’t Newsweek stop putting out a print edition?

Evan Thomas is lucky lockjaw doesn’t affect his ability to type.

Flange on January 18, 2013 at 10:51 AM

What an insensitive photo, making it look like Our Dear leader is posing for a mug shot. Shame! How do you liberals live with yourselves?

stop2think on January 18, 2013 at 10:58 AM

Don’t you have to die before a second coming could occur? Oh, and be the Son of God?

Night Owl on January 18, 2013 at 11:04 AM

If they’d done that for BJ it would have meant something else.

Logus on January 18, 2013 at 11:13 AM

It must get increasingly difficult for Obama to maintain a separation between church and state during his beatification process.

1921 C DRUM on January 18, 2013 at 11:23 AM

I think Evan Thomas was referring to something a bit more personal, shall we say, in his unwavering belief in the Obama.

As an aside, I would have thought this would be at least the fourth or fifth time Obama made a “coming” for Thomas.

DrDeano on January 18, 2013 at 11:24 AM

WOW….Some of those masturbate to his pics. They have to be right??

WTF?

Can.I.be.in.the.middle on January 18, 2013 at 11:38 AM

Evan Thomas sits on a panel with Krauthammer (the only reason I watch) on a Sunday show “Inside Washington”. He has actually said he’s nonpartisan. They aren’t even aware of their biases anymore.

The Count on January 18, 2013 at 11:39 AM

Hehehehe!

ronsfi on January 18, 2013 at 11:54 AM

Save that picture now.

It will come in handy later as the Obama scandals and stuff finally take off.

The headline at the top is a kicker and just another reminder of how liberals worship Europe and wish for nothing but to Europeanize America.

I’m looking at you Evan Thomas.

Right, but they still put out digital “covers” because that’s all they were really known for.

The last 2 years of this upcoming term is going to be very interesting to see who he’s going to campaign for. We all know he can’t do anything but campaign, so he’s not going to be able to help himself for campaigning for someone.

Can’t wait to see who he hand picks as his successor. I bet it’s going to be a minority that the vast majority of people have never heard of.

But then he’d have to admit that Uncle Joe is not suitable for the job, and we all know how he is at admitting fault. Then again, Joe could just decide he wants to spend more time with his biker bar friends.

Seeing as most dems running in 2010 and 2012 didn’t want him anywhere near them, it’ll be interesting indeed to see what happens.

CurtZHP on January 18, 2013 at 12:47 PM

Mat 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

I don’t think even Obama can do that.

Government truly is the religion of liberals.

NebCon on January 18, 2013 at 11:23 AM

True. Once that fact is realized a lot of what the Left does makes sense.

For example: The Left is obsessed with an imaginary right-wing authoritarian theocracy movement. This is pure projection.

Further, the government=religion explains why they have unshakable “faith” in Big Government programs, planners, technocrats, and beauracies, despite decades centuries of negative evidence. It literally is blind faith.

I have no problem with that as long as that’s exactly where he appears, even if only for a microsecond.

You are making the as yet unwarranted assumption that in 2016 there will be a successor. “First Citizen for Life” and “Pontifex Maximus” does have a certain ring for him.

Government truly is the religion of liberals.

They’re stuck with Evan Thomas’s (and Chris Mathews’s) jism.

Let’s not let this photo take away the attemtion from Michelle O’s new wig.

Out of curiosity, exactly what is that knot that appears in O’s jaw under his ear?

onlineanalyst on January 18, 2013 at 8:57 PM

Evan Thomas’s grandpa, Norm Thomas, was a six-time Presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.

Looks like he’s clinching his teeth tightly – a sign of tension. He’s either tense, or maybe he has a lot of cocaine or meth in his system. He also wears a lot of make-up. You can see the make-up line pretty clearly at times.
