“The RNC is officially on the side of more dead children”

posted at 4:22 pm on January 16, 2013 by

Your official vile tweet of the day, from an eminently likely source:

Your move, Piers Morgan.  Keep in mind that Markos “Screw ‘em” Moulitsas isn’t some fringe character on the Left.  Indeed, he organizes a high-profile annual confab for liberals, which regularly attracts a flock of genuflecting Democratic A-listers.  Virtually every Republican under the sun was asked to denounce Rush Limbaugh for calling an obscure 30-something activist a nasty name last year.  Will a single Democrat be pressed to repudiate Markos’ vituperative slander?  (It’s a rhetorical question, folks).  In fact, what’s so unusual about the content of that tweet?   All Markos did was crudely repackage the unsubtle implication of the president’s performance this afternoon on guns: That opponents of his proposals don’t care about the safety and lives of children.  I’ll leave you with today’s runner-up in the vile tweet category, via Lefty writer Matt Yglesias:

Chuck Todd acknowledges that Obama’s made-for-TV theatrics were heavy on emotion but light on substance — not that Todd seems particularly troubled by that approach:

DNC is on the side of slavery.

Then let’s have a conversation about abortion control. I think a 10 month waiting period is a common-sense, reasonable measure, wouldn’t you?

The Count on January 16, 2013 at 4:29 PM

Why is everyone so upset about this tweet? Doesn’t this mean Kos is now pro-life?

Considering how many of them are okay with maternal infanticide, their counteroffer will be to legalize that.

And, anything that advances the ball toward their misanthropic, Malthusian dystopia is automatically adored by the left.

Fuck Moulitsas. He loves dead soldiers.

He’s no better than the Westboro Baptist Church.

Abby Adams on January 16, 2013 at 5:18 PM

Frankly, I find the Matt Yglesias tweet the more offensive of the two.

Kataklysmic on January 16, 2013 at 5:22 PM

Both markos and yglesias are slimy little pukes.

Abortion = dead children. Your move, lefties.

Othniel on January 16, 2013 at 5:39 PM

The GOP is now in full support of abortion as a form of birth control?

Oh, not those children.

gwelf on January 16, 2013 at 5:44 PM

Good time to repost this quote that’s been going around here all morning:

“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. ” -Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler, Publ. Houghton Miflin, 1943, Page 403

Pretty comfortable saying that the president’s children are in fact more important than yours

I’m sure racist Democrats thought their kids were far more important when they saw Ann Dunham and her boy back in the 60′s. That kid was destined to be a nobody, right?

forest on January 16, 2013 at 6:06 PM

Obama’s made-for-TV theatrics were heavy on emotion but light on substance

The standard of ‘excellence’ for Barry.

As for Markos, I’m guessing he’s okay supporting a president who’s administration is responsible for the deaths of over 200+ Mexican citizens and 2 US law enforcement officers.

Must be that liberal “nuance”.

As opposed to Piers Morgan who stands on top of them.

Ronnie on January 16, 2013 at 8:37 PM

No, they are on the side of helping to enslave children.

astonerii on January 16, 2013 at 9:17 PM

My tweet to Markos:

Dead children don’t justify infringement of individual rights, because NOTHING justifies infringement of individual rights.

The problem is that we need to start playing hardball against the left, instead of being outraged over being called racist bigots who want to starve old people and see children killed–and wasting time trying to prove our good intentions. We should state our principles bluntly and force the left to stay on track.

Baerwulf on January 16, 2013 at 9:29 PM

Well his position makes sense; we should follow the UK on gun bans and gun control.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_statistics

So that we can reverse what we’ve seen; the US going from 32 rapes per 100,000 to 27; and the UK going from 25 to 29 over the same timeframe.

Markos is OFFICIALLY for ((5 + 4) * (300,000,000/100,000)) = 27,000 more rapes per year for the USA.

What? Unfair? That’s how this plays out… slightly fewer gun-related murders, with more crime overall; including significantly more rapes. You can check those numbers for “gun free areas”, rapes, muggings, assaults… generally you get a lot more of them.

Is it worth it to save one child if you’re condemning 27,000 women to be raped? I don’t know; but Markos knows, and he’s really good with all the rapes, muggings, beatings, and other violent crime to save one kid.

Oh, and Obama is on board with this too. He said ANYTHING to save one kid after all…

The DNC is pro-rapist… assuming we’re allowed to play by the same rules Markos is using. We can use the same rules, right?

Or is that somehow unfair of me?

gekkobear on January 17, 2013 at 12:05 AM

I never get his name right. From now on Ill just call him Hans Moleman!

Kataklysmic on January 16, 2013 at 4:27 PM

SHHH the RNC dumped fighting for God, family values, and the sanctity of life a long time ago. It eschews “social issues and social cons in the same manner that the DNC does – not really giving a hoot about the poor black community it has enslaved to string along for votes.
Maybe you didn’t notice their candidate was a rich flexibly principled RINO who gave boring economic lessons to sway the masses from free lunches, lust and deviancy.

Don L on January 17, 2013 at 6:42 AM

Nothing is more hypocritical that a pious liberal who dares speak of concern for the children. They cheer and demanded the right to chose the deaths of 53 million under Roe, force us to pay for ghetto-centered planned Parenthood slaughterhouses, and even love a president who is on record of demanding living human helpless babies be starved to death if they dare escape the abortionist executor.

How dare they talk about the children!

Even if they live they contaminate them with the lust and deviancy gods they worship.

Don L on January 17, 2013 at 6:49 AM

“Officialy”? Really?

Evidently “officialy” is taking a place next to “literally” as a word that can unintentionally warn the reader/listener that the speaker/writer might be dishonest by way of exaggeration or misinterpetation.

BTW, I’ve noticed similar with “penultimate” which means on less than ultimate, but some people are using to mean “even more ultimate.” Exaggeration from an uneducated source is just plain sad.

I’m pretty comfortable saying that his children might be more important than yours, Matt. But, they certainly aren’t any more important than mine. So, no, you can’t take away my right to protect them.

Thank you for posting that. I saw it on another thread a couple of days ago and have been looking for it. It will come in handy when I email a sister and couple of friends who are going mushy because of all this wailing and teeth gnashing about how we can protect the children if law abiding people are allowed to have these big mean guns.

@Markos is officially on the side of tyranny, because children, herp derp.

I’m so sick of this hyperbolic, grandma-off-the-cliff bullcrap.

The Schaef on January 17, 2013 at 1:05 PM

Next thing you know they will be accusing the RNC of drinking the blood of children.

Dr. Frank Enstine on January 17, 2013 at 1:15 PM

When a woman who can’t get a concealed carry permit and then is raped, can we call Moulitas pro rape? What about a woman who is denied a gun and then attacked by a stalker? Why does Markos hate women? Its an asinine game but the left loves playing it.
