Via Mike Riggs, proof of how quickly opinions are changing on legalization. Sometimes in the span of two or three sentences.

I found the whole Q/A to be a bit pathetic – who thought you’d miss answers involving the words “world peace”? Both the drug question and the firearms rights questions were framed for a specific PC answer – and both answers reflected a high degree of ignorance on the subjects.

Medical marijuana as a “last resort” for their healthcare?

Oh puhleeze.

She has Tourette Syndrome. Maybe she smokes it therapeutically…and recreationally.

When it’s legal. Next question?

These young ladies are beauty pagaent contestants because they look great in bikinis and have some musical or theatrical talent. Can we stop asking them questions about pot or guns as though they are running for Congress? Barack Obama didn’t get questions from the press as tough as the ones these girls got.

It’s like pulling teeth to get these girls to think about current issues!

She only thinks it should be used for medicinal and recreational purposes? That sounds like a Miss USA answer. This is the big leagues, Iowa, step it up.

mintycrys on January 14, 2013 at 5:59 PM

My sister was one of her fellow contestants…Mariah just misspoke and said “recreational” when she meant “medicinal.” She knows the difference and was kicking herself as soon as she got offstage. You’d be amazed how easy it is to have a slip of the tongue when answering about a hot-button issue in front of million of TV viewers.

It’s a shame because the Miss America contestants are actually very intelligent and accomplished women who are in it for scholarship money and to promote a cause (not going for straight up cash like the aspiring models of Miss USA and the like).

Barack Obama didn’t get questions from the press as tough as the ones these girls got.

This is 100% true.

Whatever, Miss South Carolina should have won.

“I personally think it should be used only for recreational and medical use.” Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I was hoping she’d address the military and mathemical uses of marijuana, but I guess those are off-limits.

mintycrys on January 14, 2013 at 8:01 PM

I would have thought she would have been okay with marijuana as a biofuel, but I guess she doesn’t want to adversely impact the corn ethanol program in Iowa. . . . . . .

May I ask why we the hell we should care what that self-propelled Barbie doll thinks of anything of any importance whatsoever, ESPECIALLY on the subject of pot use?

Good grief folks, we might as well have Dumb-te do a guest piece on foreign policy! Or have an article on why you should take ‘horoscopes’ in your daily ‘newspaper’ as serious guides for making decisions.

Stardom invites illegal drug use like a fish to water, because when you people with enough money and influence to get the good stuff, bribe the cops to stay away/not arrest them/make their wrist-slap punishment not go public…then guess what, you get lots of illegal drug use!

Along with plenty of legal drug use as well, I might add. Look at how many stars smoked their lungs rotten or drank until they didn’t need to be embalmed when they croaked.
