“Because you’re mine, I have wine!”

CableDude on January 12, 2013 at 12:16 PM

And I heard as it were the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying come and see and I saw
And behold a white horse

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
And I looked and behold, a pale horse
And his name that sat on him was Death
And Hell followed with him

BigGator5 on January 12, 2013 at 12:22 PM

Still laughing.

themediansib on January 12, 2013 at 12:24 PM

Nah, Randy Marsh’s was much worse.

fitzfong on January 12, 2013 at 12:30 PM

Funny! I can see not knowing this though….she is “youngish” and Johnny isn’t as well known as he used to be!

Not knowing it is one thing, but she passed on buying a vowel or spinning again and opted to solve the puzzle wind up on the internet instead.

Flange on January 12, 2013 at 12:43 PM

At least she didn’t drop any “g”s. Well… of course there weren’t any to drop, were there? But it was still unfair that her speech impediment made her say “wine” instead of “line” Elmer Fudd style.

And um “have” well, in certain Icelandic dialects… uh.. well the word “walk” kinda sounds like… well… okay got nothing there.

But can they prove Johnny Cash didn’t have the wine? Certainly he must have had some at some point.

Gingotts on January 12, 2013 at 12:56 PM

I keep a close watch on this drink of mine
I keep my mouth wide open all the time
I keep an eye out for the cop that binds
Because you’re mine, I have the wine

I see, thanks!
The first one had me SMH
The second one had me LOL

My personal fav. on WoF was a partially filled in “Gone With the Wind” puzzle. The attempted solution was “Done with One Hand”.

Kungfoochimp on January 12, 2013 at 6:42 PM

Yeah, I had this on in the background the other day and couldn’t believe what I heard. Even if you’re not familiar with the song, a damn movie about Johnny Cash called Walk the Line came out just a few years ago.

Doughboy on January 13, 2013 at 12:38 AM

I had it on mute but the consolation head tilt by Vanna told me all I need to know.

There’s a show called Repo Games, where people whose cars are being repossessed can win them back fully paid-off if they can answer 3 out of 5 trivia questions correctly. One African-American repossessee answered that the “father of our country” is Barack Obama. Person lost the game and car was hauled away.

Next there will be a demand for trivia Affirmative Action.

I don’t remember the rule on buying vowels when you’ve landed on the “Jackpot” but she didn’t spin again because if she did, she would have lost out on the opportunity to win the jackpot. Buying a vowel wouldn’t have helped anyway, but she did screw up by guessing “have” when there was already an “E” on the board.

GOPRanknFile on January 13, 2013 at 8:13 PM

Well, I thought it was a good answer. “I Have The Wine” kind of has a ring to it.

TarheelBen on January 13, 2013 at 9:31 PM

Hey, at least she didn’t screw-up ‘Johnny Cash‘.

lol. I love Johhny and thought “I never heard of that song before.” Had to replay it before I got back on track.

I happened to just have seen a Wheel clip from maybe the late 80′s where a contestant had racked up over 35 thousand dollars with “THE THRILL OF -ICTORY THE AGONY OF DEFEAT” and she asked for an “S”. I’d say that was worse.

Marcus on January 14, 2013 at 6:47 AM

Well, maybe she’d fallen for that “I have the wine” line from guys before.

Marcola on January 14, 2013 at 11:22 AM

There wasn’t even an E in the right spot on the board.

I would give her a break on this, but, I know Brits who would have gotten that right and are younger than her.

TerryW on January 14, 2013 at 1:05 PM

I keep a bottle open all the time,
it’s Two-Buck Chuck but that seems to work just fine.
The other girls will just have to wait in line,
‘Cause now you’re mine, and I have the wine.

Hey, it’s PLAUSIBLE…
