Remember Bush-deux went up to what, 90%? we saw how that went. Plus State-level is a buffer zone against Congress, and Lesser Governments. It’s easy. I agree. He would siphon votes from the Dems. I was originally thinking he would be best GOP candidate if conservatives run 3rd party, simultaneously weakening the GOP and Dem vote.

I disdain Christie because he knifed Romney in the back and ensured that Obama was reelected. It’s the same reason you and other liberals are now ardent defenders of Christie. He is the newest Republican useful idiot who helped reelect your lord and savior.

His ego has grown to the size of his body which mean get ready for him running as an independent. Even more bizarre, because of where he has gone politically over the last year, he might be the rare independent candidate that might do more damage to the Democrats than the GOP. His anti-gun stands for example will get him killed in traditional red states, however he might have enough in the tank to seize states like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, few other northeastern states. Democrats cannot afford to lose those in another close election in 2016, even if it is not the GOP.

He is basically building up a cult of personality like Obama, just that in his case it is a coalition of Rhinos and white northeast democrats who have not gone full blown progressive.

At least Newt and Cain both led comfortably in the polls for extended periods of time during the primaries. Unless the rest of the potential 2016 candidates sit it out, I don’t even know if CRISTie will accomplish that feat.

A so-called “Republican” governor of a largely Democrat state fleeces the federal government of money we really don’t have in order to pay for damage in areas the state and municipalities let people build. For years they collect tax money and yet when the inevitable disaster strikes they want people from other states to pay for it.

And we are mean if we think this is a terrible idea? Really?

Compound this with the federal government providing “flood insurance”. A business the government took over when insurance companies, knowing disaster was inevitable given where states where letting people build, and given the fact one disaster such as this would essentially end their business, exited.

Oh and by the way, the federal “flood” insurance program is now bankrupt.

But let’s put Christie on the cover of Time and relegate insurance companies to the increasingly crowded liberal hate locker.

Well, his re-election in Jersey is probably in the bag (without my vote though), and then he’ll be the next moderate, electable Republican to lose a Presidential race.

No chance. Ironically he’s destroying any shot he may have had at the nomination with his antics lately. Just ask Jon Huntsman how trashing your own party while sucking up to Obama worked out in the primaries.
