There are Republicans like Boehner who are helping them.

Reid, a bit startled, replied: “What are you talking about?”

Boehner repeated: “Go f— yourself.”

After which, they went to a DC bar, had a beer together, and slapped each other on the back over the great “deal” they just reached.

More believable coming from Cheney than Boehner.

This thing just played out in the Kansas legislature too. The past two years, nothing got done because we had three factions, Democrats, RINOs and Tea Party. We even had to have a judge (a 3 judge panel?) do our redistricting for us.

The last election pushed the RINOs out and more Tea Party Reps/Senators in.

I guess we’ll see how it goes nationally.

Completely. And they’re dead to America. The House is already lost for 2014. They are nothing — men of nothing — and never were anything, just empty vessels to contain their second-class ambitions. People never vote for nothing over something. 2010 was a phenomenon, a gift of power the Tea Party gave to them. But these people understand neither power nor principle. It seems something truly awful is in store for America and the circumstances for it are falling into place, have been for awhile. It’s as if we’re living in some surreal dream-play, watching the characters move stupidly and ineluctibly toward ruin, our ruin.
