Sean Penn on Hugo Chavez: He’s an “inspiration”

posted at 10:36 am on December 13, 2012 by

Hugo Chavez is ailing again, so of course his good buddy Sean Penn showed up at a vigil in Bolivia in his honor to speak about him. Sweet, right?

A lot of Liberals said the same about Lenin and Stalin. No biggie.

Hey, Penn, if Chavez is such an inspiration, why don’t you move to Venezuela permanently?

Not to mention, but back in the day they also loved Mussolini and Hitler.

You folks forget Castro who is a BIG one for the Hollywood commies. Penn is a moron that is too stupid to even grasp how stupid he is. He really makes useful idiots look smart.

Frank Enstine on December 13, 2012 at 10:51 AM

Hopefully, he’ll be a dead “inspiration” soon.

Resist We Much on December 13, 2012 at 10:52 AM

Why can’t those stupid Venezuelans just elect someone we like for a change.

plewis on December 13, 2012 at 10:59 AM

It just proves that liberals, like Penn, are closet fascist.

The other night, Leno noted Chavez’s illness & said he was preparing to pass his power to his replacement, Sean Penn.

Hitler was a complicated guy. He got support from the Left and Right for some reason. The Right in the UK thought he’d protect them from Communism and yet he used Communist imagery and rhetoric during his career to appeal to those voters before he came into power.

I’m reading June 1941: Hitler and Stalin right now, it’s definitely been an interesting read so far.

Who said that they should vote for who we like? As far as I am concern, they voted for what they have and will continue to have:

Some of the highest annual inflation rates in the world, starvation in places even though the government is storing food that is spoiling nearby, little foreign investment due to the constant nationalisations, an atrocious record on civil liberties, a state-run media, executions, imprisonment and disappearances of the opposition and their families, massive poverty, an economy that is completely dependent on the vagaries of the oil market, etc.

Like you with Obamanomics, they deserve the hell that they voted for.

I say we just trade Sean Penn to Venezuela for a left-hand pitcher and a short-stop to be named later.

Droopy on December 13, 2012 at 11:13 AM

Where can I get an awesome Chávez-style jumpsuit like the one Sean Penn is sporting in that video? I haven’t done my Christmas shopping yet and would really like to know.

Obama = Chavez.

Chavez used the same strategy Obama did. Attack the “evil” rich and property owners.

You’re right if by “attack” you mean restore the tax rates that existed during a period of federal budget surpluses and 20 million private sector jobs created. Yeah, Attack!

plewis on December 13, 2012 at 1:43 PM

You honestly credit higher tax rates with the (one-year, on-paper-only) surplus? You really think raising taxes, thereby removing money from the private sector, creates private-sector jobs?

plewis on December 13, 2012 at 1:43 PM

No, I meant the constant attacks on success and wealth.

However, I am curious as to why Obama doesn’t want to restore those wonderful tax rates for the middle class … you know, since they apparently ushered in some sort of economic boom all by themselves. Do you know why?

darwin on December 13, 2012 at 1:57 PM

I would like to see Sean Penn die screaming of painful rectal cancer.

Who says they actually voted him in. I am very suspect of elections in which self acclaimed dictators are relected with almost 100 % of the vote.

Maybe someone should take all of Sean Penn possesions and fortune and then this little communist scum would understand the real evil of communism that he preaches all the time but lives the life of super wealthy elite…

Nothing new under the sun… socialists and communists have been the same and doing the same since Marx and Engel and in all parts of the world, in Russia, China, Cuba, Europe, and the US… The major thing is that the communist in Western Europe, Canada, and the US have not been able to mount violent revolution to enslave 99.9% of the population to the STATE…

So, you want Obama to raise taxes on the other 98%, too, eh?

Good. So do I. In fact,

DOUBLE ALL TAX RATES and start taxing social security (regardless of additional income), medicare, medicaid, food stamps, Obamaphones, you name it.

The country voted for a European-style welfare state. Fine. It’s time that it got European-style tax rates to pay for it.

Eliminating the Bush tax rate cuts on the top 2% will raise about $80 billion per year. THAT’S IT!!!

The “We can have all of this and get the ‘evil rich’ to pay for it” BS that Obama the Medicine Man sold to the country needs to be exposed for the cr@p that it is. Time to belly up to the bar and pay the tab. From now on, pay first, drink later.

It’s time that EVERYONE put some skin in the game… including Peggy Joseph and the Obamaphone woman.

If Americans want a big government, make them pay for it. We’ll see just how big of a government they really want. I suspect that we will find that they want a much smaller government once they are on the hook for the taxes needed to support it. Right now, they believe that they can have a free lunch and stick the “evil rich” with the tab. Unfortunately for the clueless, there aren’t enough “evil rich” people to pay for the lunch to which the moochers believe they are entitled.

The Bush tax cuts took 3 million low income Americans off of the tax rolls. How did they repay Republicans? By voting for Barack Obama and other Democrats. Make them start paying for that “Obama stash” and make ‘em pay until it hurts.
