I know. I had plans to. I wish these people would stop being such a downer.

It’s almost like someone wants us to be panicky and insecure, like the end is coming, but never resolved, like the end is a done deal. Never comfortable and relaxed on either end, just always afraid and needing “drastic measures” all the time.

But that’s just crazy talk.

NASA is reminding us that the world is not ending next week. How comforting. However, if this reminder is coming from the global warming Hansen office, everybody better start digging. Of course, NASA is part of the government and you can ALWAYS believe what they say.

How are date lines handled in these things? Isn’t Australia a day ahead of the US? Do they get ended before everyone here in the US. How about the east coast vs the west. Does the west coast get to see the east coast wiped out on live TV? Do we on the east coast get to see France wiped out? Not that we could tell the difference for a night out for their youths.

Why yes it is. Good question though.
I would say that since the Mayans were concentrated mostly in Central America, they probably didn’t have or understand different time zones, and likely never crossed the international date line. Therefore, the date and time for the end of the world would likely be according to the Central American time zone – which is mostly US Central.

I do like the idea of us being able see a giant meteor hit France though….
