Photo: Look who I ran into at Army-Navy

posted at 12:29 pm on December 10, 2012 by

I got to go to my first Army-Navy game this weekend. I was honored to attend with the Travis Manion Foundation and a group of wounded warriors, many of whom were from my home state. Look who I ran into! Erika’s family has a long Navy history, so she’s there every year, with shades on, natch.

A rough loss for Army, as they fumbled a botched hand-off on the Navy 14-yard-line after a last-minute drive orchestrated by senior quarterback Trent Steelman. Thus ended the Black Knights’ chance to break a 10-year loss streak. But it was a close game, and nice to watch a bunch of stand-up guys play a great game after a rough couple of weeks in the football world.

Especially older ones. Young liberal women may be drop-dead smoking hot, but 40 years of sexual follies among other things is not kind to a female’s body.

That’s because their numerous internal conflicts and the self-contradictory nature of leftism itself eventually eat them up inside and ages them more rapidly than rational people.

Also, leftist women tend to get a lot of work done. Just look at Darryl Hannah, she used to be beautiful but when she started aging, she went crazy with the plastic surgery. Now she looks like the crazy cat lady.

Looking good ladies!

And are you both wearing those scarf things we keep hearing about here in Arizona?

nextgen_repub on December 10, 2012 at 1:47 PM

Great game. Go Navy! Another 10 year run would work quite well.

DDay on December 10, 2012 at 1:48 PM

That’s a really good picture of both of you. Such pretty smiles. ;-)

Wish Army had won, though, to intensify the rivalry if for no other reason. Maybe next year.

TXUS on December 10, 2012 at 2:03 PM

It was a tough loss, even more so than the last, um, ten previous ones because Army was dominating most of the game. Just look at the rushing stats for the game and you’ll understand. Well, the only thing left to say is that There Are 362 And A Butt Days Until Army Beats The Hell Out Of Navy!

BohicaTwentyTwo on December 10, 2012 at 2:06 PM

Great picture! What a wonderful day y’all had. I’d love to go to one of those games.

hawkdriver on December 10, 2012 at 9:08 PM

Hawkdriver,

Protocol WRT Army being the Senior Service has NOTHING to do with this…

Losing side goes in front of their band at the end of the game… sadly sings Alma Mater… Winning side stands reverently behind them…

Upon the LAST NOTE, the winning side (Navy this year, and the last 10 years) sprints in front of the USNA Drum & Bugle Corps for our Alma Mater (Navy Blue and Gold).. we sing loudly, last note, cannon shot and very loud and full throated BEAT ARMY!!

That’s how it works, even when we play Air Force…

Signed Me, USNA ’81 (3-1 vs Army during my 4 years)

MKH and EJ looed GREAT in their Navy BLUE & GOLD accent wear!!

I know what the game tradition calls for. It sounded like the other commenter was rubbing Army’s nose in the fact that they “only” come first because they lose.

hawkdriver on December 11, 2012 at 6:15 AM

Rumor has it the VPOTUS was met with a chorus of boos at the game– can anyone verify?

And yes, as a reformed liberal, I can verify that our pretty ladies run circles around theirs

I loved beating Army again! It was closer game than it has been in a while, but a hard fought game.

Yes. VP Biden was booed not once, but twice. The first time was when he was introduced at the coin toss, and second and much louder chorus when he crossed from the Army side to the Navy side at Halftime.

yes, confirmed. Upper deck on Army side was expressing much displeasure. Literally.
