RFK Jr: This country is divided because the right wing controls American media

posted at 1:45 pm on December 8, 2012 by

Via Newsbusters. Just to show you how far out Junior is, when Gallup polled Americans on media bias last year they couldn’t get even a plurality of Democrats to agree that the media skews too far right. Dems split evenly, 20/20, between “too liberal” and “too conservative.” (Independents split 50/13.) The only group that agreed on balance that the media is too conservative was — ta da — liberals, and even in that case only 37 percent agreed. Fully 16 percent of them thought the media was, er, too liberal.

What this guy really wants isn’t less “division” but a mainstream left-wing propaganda outlet that’s every bit as overtly activist as the left’s caricature of Fox News. (Bonus fun fact: His brother works for Fox.) Luckily for him, that niche is being filled, and then some. Exit question: If conservative talk radio dominates the Republican mind, how’d we end up with McCain and Romney as the last two GOP nominees?

And another thing. This Republican-controlled Senate is out of control…

That statement should eliminate any possibility that the scumbag and wife killer known RFK,Jr. is sane.

LOL, hysterical.

The Dems really miss the days when the nation would gather at the end of the day to receive the news from one of the three liberal TV network news anchor broadcasts.

That was much easier to CONTROL.

My dearest comrades,

Close your eyes and imagine the glorious utopia we could enjoy if there was no more dissent. We’d be free to go about our Goverment issued McLives without anyone every hurting our precious feelings.

Sincerely,

RFK.

FNC is emphatically not conservative, it is the nebulous center-right.

ABC/NBC/CBS/MSLSD are emphatically liberally or socialist.
The major newspapers and magazines are emphatically liberal or socialist.

The popular talk radio stations and blogs have some genuine conservatives and some center-rights types.

In terms of reach and impact, the vast majority of media is liberal to socialist.

Does this guy drive a car or operate heavy machinery?

Cindy Munford on December 8, 2012 at 2:07 PM

Does it occur to him that Fox is a cable channel that not everyone has access to? And at least Fox puts on real liberals on their shows instead of the faux “Republicans” the MSM uses to give “our” view of any issue.

Poor boy’s gonna drink himself to death if he doesn’t quit soon. Sad, so sad.

Scotsman on December 8, 2012 at 2:51 PM

It is rather humorous how one cable channel that draws 5 million viewers a day out of 330 million citizens can freak out these insecure little prix so.

Tim Zank on December 8, 2012 at 2:52 PM

Wow now that is a special kind of stupid. Way beyond the usual liberal azzhat stupid. I suggest a new mini series Kennedys, an amrerican DUHnasty.

Once a junkie, always a junkie.

Don’t forget that this idiot claimed that right-wing hate speech was responsible for JFK’s death in an article on The Puffington Host when Gabby Giffords was shot. If that wasn’t hallucinogenic enough for you, the commenters went on and on about how they remembered exactly where they were when JFK was assassinated and how they cried because the Birchers had killed him.

There was one sane liberal on the thread, who asked them all WTF they were all smoking and said, “Dude, Lee Harvey Oswald was a bloody Communist, who tried to assassinate a Bircher 6 months BEFORE he shot Kennedy! Get a grip.”

There is not a single thing that is not the fault of the right-wing in the eyes of leftists. NOTHING.

My wife is was pretty nonpolitical and couldn’t understand my chronic complaining at the media till I got her weaned off the big three alphabets. She started watching Fox(on her own) and now I delight in hearing the muted squalls of five o’clock outrage drifting down to my basement mancave as she begins her education. She’s learning all about nuance and omission of important stories.

Aside from this statement being more proof of the Kennedy clan’s rampant use of pharmaceuticals, this shows a complete lack of understanding of market forces. If talk radio is dominated by conservatives that is only because they draw audiences large enough to persuade sponsors to advertise and thereby make money for the station. No station, independent or affiliate is going to devote air time simply for political purposes and lose money. It’s network news divisions that are losing money by the boatload to promulgate their political agendas.

Fox is the only news network we watch. We are selective because they have real slugs as ‘the spitter’, shep, and others we don’t watch. But as far as getting a somewhat ‘fair and balanced’ news on F&F and Bair that is why we watch.

it is possible that the American media is too far to the right by his standards, meaning he is nearing going off the scale on the left. scary thought.

This idiot has been living on the dark side of the moon for so long, he should be declared an alien.

Translation: People who disagree with me are exercising their constitutional rights and it’s preventing us from imposing our agenda. This is a big problem because even though we control most of the media, academia and Hollywood, our vacuous ideas and policies are such proven failures that we can’t afford to allow any dissenting voices.

I have a theory on why liberals think that the media is not balance:

CNN and MSNBC are a ratings joke next to FOX News, so they don’t really count. Again, this is only a theory since we can never hope to understand the liberal mind.

BigGator5 on December 8, 2012 at 3:48 PM

Yeah, if it wasn’t for stupid, evil stuff like free speech, we could all be happy cogs in the left-wing machine. Burn that damn Constitution, it’s the cause of all our problems!

Marxism is for dummies on December 8, 2012 at 3:49 PM

You have to consider the source. RFK,Jr. is so far left that Chris Matthews is considered a right wing nut, in his eyes. He’s certainly not a credible source on anything political so why would anyone ask him a political question?

bflat879 on December 8, 2012 at 3:55 PM

That boy needs some flying lessons.

bw222 on December 8, 2012 at 1:51 PM

Pffffft.

This just puts the icing on the cake of his bona fides.

Obama plucks Kerry to be Secretary of Diminishing America, that opens up a Senate seat in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, Scott Brown throws his hat in the ring, door opens for a Kennedy to win back the Kennedy seat in the Senate, Democrats Communists cheer, throw money into the kitty, Kennedy beats Brown like a rented mule.

turfmann on December 8, 2012 at 3:57 PM

As far as the rest of the country is concerned, they’ve been watching our supposed free press turn into Pravda and Izvestia for the Democrats but, hold on a few years there Jr. because they’re headed that way. The Journalism schools don’t allow any conservative thought in there so the less there is, the further wacko they’ll be.

bflat879 on December 8, 2012 at 3:58 PM

Let’s promote RFK Jr. for President 2016. If we can’t beat this twit, we may as well learn the words to the ‘The Internationale’.

SpiderMike on December 8, 2012 at 4:26 PM

What’s sad is that from RFK Jr.’s perspective he is right. A Marxist probably is left of just about all major media.

NotCoach on December 8, 2012 at 4:39 PM

I used to think the Republicans were hte party of stupid and the democrats were the party of evil. Now I’m pretty sure the Democrats are both.

What do we all know? According to some poll somewhere all us FOX, conservative media types are too stupid to know real issues. We are the least informed, dumbest people on the planet.
You’ve all forgotten your place.
We’re all just too uninformed and dumb to see his brilliance.

What an idiot! I’m so sick of all the stupid people.

americanmama on December 8, 2012 at 6:53 PM

One would think after his wife tragic death Mr. Kennedy would have more pressing matters…

Guess not…

Tilly on December 8, 2012 at 7:11 PM

If conservative talk radio dominates the Republican mind, how’d we end up with McCain and Romney as the last two GOP nominees?

It doesn’t. Fox is not even R. They were all in Mitt’s azz, beg. with Hume, who decides most all news content there.

Schadenfreude on December 8, 2012 at 7:15 PM

How does Kennedy even know this to be true, with right-wing dominated media controlling the message? I wonder how he broke through these media domination to get this suppressed information? What drivel.

Uncle Jack is rolling in his grave, at least 60 RPM.

Who woulda thunk the son of Bobby Kennedy, the great Commie hunter on the Senate McCarthy committee staff, would be a Commie!

The world is truly upside down.
