This video is the Leftist critique of Post-millennial America. This has been the public narrative for five straight years, longer w/respect to the greedy rich duping and victimizing everybody. Yet I can’t think of a single Republican candidate or ad putting out anything as concise and effective at countering this narrative as Lee Doren does here.

By the way, conservatives owe John McCain a big f-you for doing nothing to counter this “wall st Republicans killed our economy” narrative that is now culturally accepted as fact.

The most outrageous thing about this economically illiterate video is that it was created by a teachers’ union. These are the people who are indoctrinating our children.

I particularly like the part about buying elections. If you look at OpenSecrets.org’s campaign donation database you’ll find out that the National Education Association was #6 for the 2012 election cycle, at $12,4 million, over 90% to Democrats and liberal outside spending groups. Call it meta-ironic or just plain hypocritical but the California teachers complaining about others buying elections is too rich to ignore.

If Teachers had any dignity left, they would be insulted that their Union thought that the best way to explain the Union version of economics to them was a condescending cartoon.

Any self-respecting 12 year old would consider this video to be an insult to their intelligence.

And if those 12 year olds knew that this video was produced for their Teachers, they would lose all respect for their Teachers.

On a related note, in California I saw a number of “Support Public Education or Face Catastrophe” billboards in the LA area.

I thought they were a joke at first.
