I’m sure I’m wrong to wish this story were true

… but if it is, I’m going to laugh anyway. From RightLinks blog. (But I’d still like to see some verification.)

Johnstown, PA (GlossyNews) – Local and state police scoured the hills
outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers “duct taped inside fast food restaurant dumpsters,” according to police officials.

“Something just went wrong,” said a still visibly shaken organizer of the
protest. “Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activists, “growing tired of
throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats,” decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event “in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats.” “In fact,” said the organizer, “motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it, ergo, they should stop.”

According to witnesses, protesters arrived at the event in a vintage 1960′s era Volkswagen van and began to pelt the gang members with balloons filled with red colored water, simulating blood, and shouting “you’re murderers” to passersby. This, evidently, is when the brouhaha began.

“They peed on me!!!” charged one activist. “They grabbed me, said I looked like I was French, started calling me ‘La Trene’ and duct taped me to a tree so they could pee on me all day!”

Still others claimed they were forced to eat hamburgers and hot dogs under duress. Those who resisted were allegedly held down while several bikers “farted on their heads.”

There’s more at the link, but you get the gist of it.

This is “the greatest story ever told”.

I didn’t express any opinion on PETA or animal rights activism in general. so maybe there’s no hypocrisy here, after all.

Alpha_Male on December 1, 2012 at 8:03 PM

You stood up for an organization that wants to kill thousands of gays.

Your political and philosophical beliefs are inseparable from and completely dependent upon hypocrisy. You feign tolerance, spit venom and hatred and seethe at others who don’t live up to standards that you, yourself don’t even come near.

You’re a liberal.

Concerned about “torture porn” and hypocrisy are you?

Good thing your side needs no policing.

Remember a couple years back when the Daily Kos printed an op-ed describing a prominent congresswoman as “dead to me” (Daily kos’s exact words) a couple weeks before the congresswoman was severely wounded and a republican judge was murdered in a mass shooting by a bush-hating 9/11 truther?

Alberta_Patriot on December 1, 2012 at 8:21 PM

Remember the time Sarah Palin put a crosshairs symbol over the same congresswoman’s district before the shooting? It’s dumb to blame Palin for the shooting, and it’s dumb to blame Kos or any other commentator. But if you’re so concerned about hypocrisy, maybe you should mention Palin next time you suggest Kos had anything to do with it.

Heh. I sure do. Remember when Kenneth Gladney was beaten down by SEIU thugs for handing out Gadsden flags? Remember when that Obamabot bit off an old man’s finger after an argument over healthcare? Remember when libtards did nothing but project their own misdeeds onto everyone else?

Remember when committed leftist Joseph Stack flew an airplane into a federal office building in Texas and left behind a suicide note that quoted Karl Marx’s communist manifesto?

If we really believe that animals have the same right to be free from pain and suffering at our hands, then, of course we’re going to be, as a movement, blowing things up and smashing windows … I think it’s a great way to bring about animal liberation … I think it would be great if all of the fast-food outlets, slaughterhouses, these laboratories, and the banks that fund them exploded tomorrow. I think it’s perfectly appropriate for people to take bricks and toss them through the windows … Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.

- PETA Campaign Director Bruce Freidrich, 3rd in command at the terrorist organization at the time he said these remarks.

One of the fine people Alpha Male is defending.

He’s a liberal after all.

Alberta_Patriot on December 1, 2012 at 8:55 PM

Alpha_Male is a bit*h – it’s the ultimate irony.

Alberta_Patriot, comment more often.

I’m still laughing! LOL! Those animal rights activists sure know how to have fun at the expense of others, don’t they? Poor darn bikers probably didn’t know what him ‘em!

Monty Python cows

Mars Attacks

Twister cow

Jurrasic Park cow

Why isn’t PETA marching on Hollywood?

That’s my feeling, too. *sigh* It sure would be nice, though……

GWB on December 1, 2012 at 11:43 PM

Real bikers would have taped him upside down to the tree. Just so things would run the right way.

But a better fantasy would be to have someone denied a cure to a lingering, debilitating, ultimately fatal disease because one of his kin had destroyed the line of genetically engineered mice that held the key to the cure.

Piss Christ = Sling blood at ladies in mink coats (risk free)

Piss on Koran = Sling blood at Hells Angel leather (not so risk free)

Which is a loud-mouthed coward more likely to do?

SwabJockey on December 2, 2012 at 3:14 AM

I first read this two or three years ago. Sadly, I think it was a spoof. Looks like it’s making the rounds again like one of those emails that never dies.

THe guy taped to the tree looks suspiciously like Ben Stiller.

This story couldn’t be true because the typical motorcyclist is an over-fifty lardass Cia1is-case looking to replace his withered manhood with the $100k of wastable income he has left laying around after paying for his leathery wife’s boobjob.

They would be afraid of even the scawniest PETA activist.

eh,

A significant percentage of bikers are former military. Many of those have combat experience. I suspect that you have no conception of the difference between a normal civilian and a combat Vet.

That’s how to do it.

Conservatives should take a lesson from this. It’s about the same manner that liberals treat conservatives.

Who don’t liberals f**k with?

Muslims and Bikers.

We should add Conservatives to the list.

Kataklysmic on December 1, 2012 at 8:18 PM

I’m still trying to figure out what part of this counts as torture. We seem to have 1) peeing 2) farting 3) duct taping and 4) balloons filled with a highly toxic biological weapon (i.e. red-dye number 3) used on civilians. I’m going with number 4. I agree with Alpha_Male, the PETA members should be prosecuted for terrorism. That is what he (and I use the term loosely) meant, right?

Fenris on December 2, 2012 at 10:55 PM

I think it’s funny when people who see the world differently than me are terrorized, bullied, and shamed. Vote Republican!
Alpha_Male on December 1, 2012 at 4:43 PM

I didn’t express any opinion on PETA or animal rights activism in general. I was just pointing out how much delight these commenters (and the original poster) are getting from torture porn, especially considering that most of them would consider themselves adherents of a religion purportedly devoted to love. But I guess Hell is kind of like God duct-taping people who disagree with him to the inside of a very hot dumpster for a very long time, so maybe there’s no hypocrisy here, after all.
Alpha_Male on December 1, 2012 at 8:03 PM

What’s funny is, is that when a conservative type (& you could be an atheist for all that it matters as a conservative) reasonably discussing your position, there are legions of rabid hateful liberals ready to attack you unfairly.
And notice that liberals like to deny others their rights in under the guise of ‘fairness’.
It’s also interesting how liberals decry this sort of thing, like you are doing now, but wholeheartedly defend the right to abuse fetuses by murdering them & dumping them in dumpsters, or boiling them alive in saline solutions, shoving sharp instruments into their brains etc. bcs the ‘mother’ doesn’t agree with the fetuses’ wills to live.

Badger40 on December 3, 2012 at 8:36 AM

Alpha_Male on December 1, 2012 at 8:03 PM

And even tho the story’s fake, why is it OK if these PETA people harass & ruin other people’s property who don’t agree with THEM?
Why does that not bother you?
I wear leather & have never harassed a PETA person for being against my industry of ranching.
So why is it OK that they do violence toward folks who think differently? Hmmmm?
