Being banned from RedState would be a sign of intelligent life on Earth, if it wasn’t so easy to be banned. This is an example of the echo chamber gone mad.

I think Erick should reconsider. Of course, he’d have to leave CNN, and probably step down as editor of RedState. But it would be so much more entertaining. And isn’t that the business he’s actually in, entertainment?

It’s really too bad. His crushing defeat, whether in a primary or the general, would have finally forced the issue of looking long and hard at candidate quality control as far as the rightroots goes.

Very few on the right even like Erickson. Very few were encouraging him to run. In that light, your comment is pretty stupid. The trouble with KingGold is not that he’s ignorant; it’s just that he knows so much that isn’t so.

Also, if Erickson had run and suffered a crushing primary defeat, wouldn’t that have illustrated somewhat the ability of “rightroots” primary voters to make wise decisions?

Erickson is a finger pointer who makes a living telling everybody else what to do but when called to step up to the plate he puts his own comfort first.
The guy is all talk.
His site had pretty much a 90% failure rate picking winners the last election.
Who gives a damn what he thinks anymore?

What a joke! Erickson would have finished dead last – no matter how many ran. A pay cut? Yeah, right, he makes more than a Senator now, sure, I believe it – RedStaters love to send him money.

It would have been nasty because all the wild crap Erickson had flung in the past would have come boiling to the surface in the national eye (for example, calling David Souter a child molester). Erickson is his own worst enemy, which is why he’d never win such a high profile election.
