Sen. Bob Dole hospitalized

Keep him in your prayers:

Bob Dole, the 1996 Republican presidential nominee and longtime leader of Senate Republicans, has been hospitalized at Walter Reed Hospital, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Tuesday.

“He is at Walter Reed not for a checkup,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “He is there because he is infirm. He is sick.”

Reid spoke after Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz, read a letter from Dole urging passage of the Convention of Persons with Disabilities, or CPRD, which is focused on rights for the disabled. Dole, who is 89, sustained an injury in World War II that left his right arm shattered.

Prayers to Senator Dole, a very good man, indeed.

And why does Harry Reid have to be such an ass about everything?

Dole to Reid: “Bob Dole wasn’t sick and infirm when he was fighting Krauts in Italy while you were peeing in your diapers in Nevada, and Bob Dole isn’t sick and infirm now while you’re peeing in your Depends in Washington. You know it. Bob Dole knows it. And the American people know it!”

Reid blabbing about another person’s health details?
I guess HIPPA is yet another thing that congress passed that they don’t have to follow.

Get well soon, Sen. Dole.
