NASA would love to trumpet a major finding, especially at a time when budget decisions are being made.

That’s all you need to know about this.

All NASA’s about, besides building the self esteem of savages, is finding ET, or “evidence” of ET.

So if they find methane, it will proof that ET farted on Mars.

It’s a bind scientists frequently find themselves in, because by their nature, scientists like to share their results. At the same time, they’re cautious because no one likes to make a big announcement and then have to say “never mind.”

That hasn’t stopped the scientific community even once in the entire history of ever. I think they’d be putting on the front page now if it wasn’t for the fact that withholding the news for a bit makes it even BIGGER news.
