Are you free on Monday night? I won’t be — I’ll be in class — but if you are, tune in to “Operation Helping Hand,” a radiothon partnered by From the Right Radio and Smart Girl Politics:
FTR Radio announced Thursday that it is partnering with Smart Girl Politics to host a four-hour radiothon on Monday evening to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The radiothon, “Operation Helping Hand,” will be heard exclusively on FTR Radio and hosted by Fingers Malloy and Thomas LaDuke of “The Snark Factor.”
“Smart Girl Politics Action is happy to join the efforts of FTR Radio in this fundraising effort for the victims of Hurricane Sandy,” said Stacy Mott, Co-founder of Smart Girl Politics. “As a New Jersey native and someone directly impacted by the storm, I see the desperate need of my friends and neighbors in the state.”
The radiothon will be broadcast live from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time on FTRRadio.com. Guests will include nationally known political pundits, FTR Radio personalities and officials from Smart Girl Politics.
“In the time it takes to play a round of golf, we hope to raise a significant amount of money for people who have been let down by their elected officials,” said LaDuke. “These people are in desperate need and we are happy to offer a helping hand while we continue to raise national awareness to their situation.”
“Many of our New York and New Jersey leadership and members were without power for over a week and some are still waiting in the dark,” said Mott. “We hope that our efforts can bring attention back to the growing needs so many in these states are faced with today.”
Updates on confirmed guests and other information on “Operation Helping Hand” is available at FTRRadio.com.
