Won’t Get Fooled Again?

So, Ed and Erika, it’s not just the House Republicans keeping leadership largely intact as we head into the new era of old, divided, partisan government (which I really hope continues, by the way). Patty Murray as chair of Senate Budget Committee?  Why not? She is the 2nd dimmest bulb in the United States Senate, Barbara Boxer of my home state of California remaining the dimmest.

“I am committed to working with our committee and with our Congress to put a budget in place but there are a lot of questions in front of us: What happens in the next two weeks, six weeks, year? Does the White House and the leadership come together on some solution to the budget that we have right now that precludes a budget being written next year?” she said. “I have no idea.”

I have no idea. That certainly makes her qualified to be a Democratic leader in America today. Budget? We don’t need no stinkin’ budget. I don’t have to show you no stinkin’ budget.

I think we’re about to face the biggest sh**storm of our lifetimes in the Middle East, and the economy will tank even faster. Everybody feeling comfy, now that President HopeyChangey has been reelected?

to the budget that we have right now

Did you quote that correctly? The new Chair thinks we HAVE a budget??? I cannot argue against your assessment of her mental acuity.

the budget that we have right now that precludes a budget being written next year

In other words, the ACA precludes them from writing a budget, otherwise it would be exposed as a budget-busting shell game. So instead we get more of the same from the senate… no budget.

Since the Senate hasn’t come up with a budget since Obama took office, they’re probably working with the last Bush budget.

No wonder the Dems blame Bush for everything.

working off the ever expanded stimulus dollars running through those line item/departmental appropriations—have to write a budget…..nah

Do we really need a Senate Budget committee ?

Sounds oxymoronish to me.

Won’t get fooled again??

Too late, and most people realize this.

Thanks, 3rd party D-bags and purists. Go choke on something.
Thanks.

Uh, Senator, you don’t have a budget right now. Or does she have a secret budget hidden in a cave, that she will only reveal to Geraldo?
