Green Room

Pivot alert!

Andrew Malcolm notes that Barack Obama’s Saturday radio address includes a familiar refrain:

At a time when our economy is still recovering from the Great Recession, our top priority has to be jobs and growth. That’s the focus of the plan I talked about during the campaign. It’s a plan to reward businesses that create jobs here in America, and give people access to the education and training that those businesses are looking for. It’s a plan to rebuild our infrastructure and keep us on the cutting edge of innovation and clean energy. And it’s a plan to reduce our deficit in a balanced and responsible way.

That would be the plan that he released after the third debate. On Day 568 of his campaign.  Focused like a laser.

It is Bush and the R’s in dc that are still the problem is what I read in bho’s address? And if the R’s don’t give bho ALL he wants, they will really get blamed!

Someone not as lazy as me needs to do a Google search and see if this matches up word-for-word with previous addresses and speeches of his. Cuz it sounds verbatim like what he’s talked about since 2008.

IRS agents, EPA compliance inspectors, Czars, TSA genital fondlers, etc…

and give people access to the education and training that those businesses are looking for.

Training will take the form of penalties and jail time for not complying with a smile, and education will be severe shortages of everything.

So, basically they are going to fund more teachers and call it a day. The unions will be happy. Unemployment will stay the same.

In other news, TSA and union come to agreement. Isn’t building infrastructure the same as shovel ready jobs? I do believe we’ve been down this road before.

By my count, the campaign is in the neighborhood of 3600 days. That’s all a community organizer does is cajole. He has no clue how to govern. The sicker thing is I’m starting to think that many, even the highest appointees and electees, who get their positions on name recognition or personality don’t know either, in either party.

Almost. They’re just going to fund the existing slobs more. See Chicago.

This President has created more part-time jobs in the Private sector than Bush, I don’t know what you guys are complaining about.

teejk on November 10, 2012 at 1:35 PM

Yes. I heard someone on the Fox business shows this morning say that whatever the reason all these layoffs are happening, it has absolutely nothing to do with Obama being elected, so it must be Bush.

Night Owl on November 10, 2012 at 3:33 PM

It does sound word for word like many of his previous speeches, maybe even the state of the union address where he repeated the prior year’s speech.

I’m going out on a limb here. We’re going to hear this same speech given for the next four years. We will probably have worse results than the last four years becuase there is more certainty about the negative impact of this administration on business and energy costs.

Eventually we’ll all be forced to listen to these radio addresses. Also, the prez will get free airtime on all radio/TV/cable/satellite networks once a week (for starters) to address the nation. By doing that, he can just take his message to the people and cut out the press entirely.

And because he’ll explain everything so well, there’ll be no need for questions. If you HAVE questions… you just haven’t listened long enough. There will be remediation for that!

Barry has A PLAN! When does he plan on presenting HIS legislation for review? Or is this another of those, “we’ll have to pass it in order to see what’s in it!”

Be interesting to see Barry ‘focused’ on anything. Seeing as he’s got his job for the next 4 years, what’s on the agenda, besides more golf and more parties?

GarandFan on November 11, 2012 at 12:17 AM

That’s the focus of the plan I talked about during the campaign.

The plan?
Does he mean the picture book he produced with two weeks left in the campaign?
I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone, looking at this guy. Can’t believe he’s going to be in our faces for another four years.

Where I work the last pay raise was 5 years ago. The question I’m facing is, do I wait 4 years and retire at 66, or do I retire early and work part time sooner? If our healthcare goes away or gets significantly more expensive, the decision would be made for me. Thanks to all the dumbos that voted for Hussein I think Atlas is starting to shrug.
