If Petraeus was really this idiotic then just as well he is gone.

If people in powerful positions have affairs, that’s not news, so there are probably more serious breaches involved than the routine infidelity so far reported.

I was disappointed in the General about his silence on Benghazi, which i why I suspect the timing of this is a week before he was to testify. It’s too convenient. they held off until after the election and I am more PO’d than I have been since O won again.

At some point after Petraeus was sworn in as CIA director on Sept. 6, 2011, the woman broke up with him. However, Petraeus continued to pursue her, sending her thousands of emails over the last several months, raising even more questions about his judgment.

That isn’t plausible.

No point in typing that — farsighted already hashed it — but, the point — it might just be character assassination. Not that I think Petraeus is the good. I can’t know.

“Several months” means probably at least three.

So let’s say 2000 emails over 100 days. That’s 20 a day. From a Four Star General who is now the DCI? Not likely. Doesn’t makes sense. Even 10 a day for 200 days doesn’t make sense.

As with much of the rest of the story, it doesn’t add up or make sense. Add in the Benghazi connection, another story that doesn’t make sense, and it keeps getting stranger and stranger.

However, the hyper-critical, hyper-curious, hyper-skeptical, hyper-suspicious professional busy bodies in the MSM will probably still find it uninteresting and boring.

Yeah I was mulling the same numbers and thinking WTF? If the MSMemies do turn away from this it will be simply more proof of their collusion, but I fully expect the British press to pick up the torch and show them how you investigate the salacious stories.

i want to add, i had actually forgotten about the palin email thing until now, but it just reminds us all of the media double standard. remember how much they covered that email story? they made a huge deal out of it. big breaking news, we must investigate right now. we must have live video of the people going through the email documents. we must continually bring you updates on sarah palin’s scandalous emails.

Convenient that he would withold this info until after the election isn’t it.
As we peel the onion the source of the stand down must be the President.
We need to keep talking this up intil everyone else is talking about it too. The salacious affair will help us but it’s just the bait to get the msm to talk it up as well.

There’s no way he would have been allowed to be in this position under these circumstances, so easily black mailed by an outside rogue force. Unless an inside rogue force saw the opportunity to have a cia chief puppet on a string.
As for the onion peeling, when he finally had to say, “look it wasn’t me or us (the cia) that denied the embassy support”, well his usefullness was over. No he didn’t point at Barry but that’s where curios minds of course look to, chain of command and all. His defense of himself sold out the one, time to go.
The rest is chatter by msm shot out in scatter form for the randomness pattern. So don’t expect them to go for bait. These are highly trained drones with specific talking points. Asking for the master’s accountability is no where near the clip board.
