Video: New Hampshire voters pretty excited about Mitt Romney

posted at 4:50 pm on November 6, 2012 by

From his rally in Manchester last night, which packed 14,000 supporters into an arena, with thousands more waiting outside.  Just watch the first two minutes, which involves…very little speechifying for reasons that will become clear:

Meanwhile, the president held a final bonanza in Ohio.  Consider the following facts: (1) It was held in a major college town.  (2) It featured legit A-Listers Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen.  (3) It starred the chillest, most awesome POTUS evah.  (4) It had thousands of empty seats.  Anecdotes only go so far, but it’s obvious that Romney’s had major energy behind his candidacy over the home stretch.  Will it be enough?

I was on the phone with a guy twenty minutes ago who hadn’t voted yet, and it took him a little bit before he finally decided that he supported President Obama over Romney. Not enthusiastic at all and he still hadn’t voted.

I just bumped into my neighbor (Northern VA). He and his wife, mid-20’s, both voted for Obama last year. I joked about someone vandalized his car with an Obama magnet. He said, “What? I didn’t put that on there. I voted for the other guy today and pulled the magnet off.” He went on to say he and his wife were both supporting Romney, that he thought Obama was the right pick in 2008 because Palin scared the hell out of them, etc. Anyway, really surprised me in a good way!

..Guy, Ohio State University right? Schottenstein Center, right? Same place that The CrapSack® “started” his campaign right?

The numbers went back and forth during that kick-off about that arena to try to establish the occupancy percentage. They said they got 14,000 at the kick-off and that the capacity was 18,000 in “The Schott”. But, in fact, that was a pile of bulldust because the 18,000 figure was for basketball games and you needed to add another 4,000 for the arena floor. So, total capacity was 22,000 for events like these.

In any event, he could only pull 14,000 a the kickoff on May 5th and — with the old rock has-been and the foul-mouthed rapper and FREE TICKETS when SCHOOL WAS IN SESSION they can only get 4,000 more?

As Ace says, “Le-he-hus-zer!”

O.K. so now will you smile, fercrissakes?

Take him out for dinner and a couple of movies, just to be sure he’s really sure. 😉
