Cuyahoga County vote tanking?

posted at 7:31 pm on November 6, 2012 by

Third Base Politics reports that this key Ohio county for Democrats (which includes Cleveland) has seen a dramatic dropoff in voting from 2008:

Data from the Secretary of State showed 253,000 early votes already cast in Cuyahoga County.

23% of in-person voting using total registered Cuyahoga County voters from 2008 would be 255,595 votes for a total of around 508,000 votes.

In 2008, Cuyahoga ended up casting a little more than 678,000 votes.

That means that as of 5:00pm, Cuyahoga County is approximately 170,000 votes short of its 2008 total.

Here’s the link to the Cleveland Plain Dealer site.  TBP adds that voting looks significantly increased in Cuyahoga’s suburbs — a very good sign for Romney.  The CPD’s quote from the county’s spokesman: “We’re not seeing excessive numbers.”

Dear Lord, let it be so.

It is not a tease, the dems and the LSM put everything they had into creating a grand lie about Ohio being tied or Obama favored. We are witnessing that lie crash right before our eyes.

Cuyahoga was the home of Dennis Kucinich. State GOP got to redraw the districts (after winning the statehouse) and forced him to run against Marcy Kaptur. There were some hard feelings in Cleveland, sounds like some folks were still upset and just decided to stay home.

Good.
