I think all of the talk of MN, WI, MI, and PA being in play has them scared to death. If nothing else it just means that they are trying to shore up the states that are normally a lock so they aren’t absolutely embarrassed. If they lose Ohio they can claim racism in the Southeastern Ohio, but if they lose MN, WI, or MI, their racism meme loses its edge.

I think if they had the time to spare and Sandy wasn’t an issue, they might send Biden, but Clinton is obviously more effective and a BiggerFD than Joe. Sending Obama would be too much of an obvious panic move and the panic would become the story.

Biden will be in Superior, WI this week. For those that don’t know, that’s right across the river from Duluth.

I don’t think that MN is realistically in play, but it’s a fun thought to toss around.

Outstate MN is already pro-Romney for the most part, and the counties that went for Obama in 2008 are comparatively small in population. Keeping the Dem base energized in Twin Cities and Duluth is the ballgame for Team O.
