Outrage: Obama administration want to give Egypt $450 million in aid

posted at 2:13 pm on September 29, 2012 by

The White House on Friday notified Congress of its plan to provide Egypt’s new government with an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, the New York Times reports. The column further notes that a prominent lawmaker said she will attempt to block the handout.

Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas), chairwoman of the House appropriations subcommittee overseeing foreign aid, threatened to use her clout to block the distribution of the money. The American relationship with Egypt, she told reporters, “has never been under more scrutiny” than it is in the wake of the election of President Mohamed Morsi, a former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Inexplicably, the administration’s announced aid proposal came two days after Morsi read the U.S. the riot act in his remarks at U.N. General Assembly. In his speech, Morsi defended a ban on free speech when it comes to insults against Islam. “Egypt respects freedom of expression,” he said, but “not a freedom of expression that targets a specific religion or a specific culture.”

In case there were any doubts about which religion or culture he had in mind, he drew a line in the sand:

And the insults hurled on the prophet of Islam, Mohammed, is rejected. We reject this. We cannot accept it. And we will be the opponents of those who do this. We will not allow anyone to do this by word or deed.

He went on to express his unwavering support of “any course of action Palestine decides to follow” and called the U.N.’s recognition of Israel’s actions in the region “shameful.”

Oh, and his wish list also includes freeing Omar Abdel-Rahman, a.k.a., the “Blind Sheikh,” who was behind the 1993 failed bombing attempt on the World Trade Center. Abdel-Rahman is currently serving a life sentence in an American prison.

And this is the guy the Obama administration wants to lend a helping hand. Imagine what the administration would have offered if Morsi had ended his speech with the words “Death to America!”

Imagine what the administration would have offered if Morsi had ended his speech with the words “Death to America!”

That’s worth at least $2 billion. With a few nukes thrown in to boot.

I hope Rep Granger fights with everything she’s got. But maybe it’s time for Americans to take to the streets and protest–at the WH, Congress, every Obama campaign stop–let our so-called “leaders” and the rest of the world know we ain’t gonna take it anymore.

I wonder how many round trips our bombers can make with $450 million.

American leaders have always given way too much weight to the opinions of non-Americans, but lately their deference to global opinion has become positively obscene. Our “leaders” today are all globalists. They want to be popular everywhere. They have their fingers in pies all over the world, or they expect to get there soon.

For instance, if Obama wins reelection, then who will he want to be playing up to over the next four years, Americans who make up only 4.5% of the global population, or the other 95.5%? Who is willing to grease his palm better over the next 40 years, the American public or the global elites?

It’s not a trick question. He is going to screw us so damned badly I highly doubt we will ever recover.

It should be no surprise we give money to people who clearly wish our throats cut. The decisions to give that money are not made on the basis of whether it serves American interests. Those decisions are made on the basis of whether it serves the interests of our globalist oriented politicians and bureaucrats who are really playing to the people who will reward them.

Probably what the 450 mil was for to begin with. For keeping the promise not to utter that phrase anytime during the speach.

Dear president Morsi,
I would be more than happy to provide the people of our old ally Egypt with the $450 Million US dollars of Emergency Aid, but for your insistence of saying that you are not our ally and disrespecting the Constitution of the United States.
Therefore, you and your Koranimal friends can go screw each other…oops, my bad..that’s normal for your culture.
So instead, just eat each other as you have done for a thousand years.
Thank you for your attention,
A US Taxpayer

PS: There will not be any “Flexibility” after the election; you’re on your own. Maybe the Rooskees will fund your slaughter.
